Once I read the instructions, I unplugged the transmitter from the mat. That was the key to sync the transmitter to the alarm. You had to sync them to each other that way, then plug transmitter into floor mat, and test out the mat. It worked. It doesn’t slip around on a wood floor. Top of mat is textured. Every time the person got out of bed, the alarm would sound(not the mat or transmitter in the persons room, unless the alarm was in their room). It flashes the number of what mat it is, in case you have more than one person using a mat in their room. It has one volume(no raising or lowering the decibels), similar loudness of an oven timer going off. You can also have it do sound and vibration, and no sound. To stop the alarm, touch the button with a square on it. No resetting anything. It’s already ready for the next time the person steps on the mat. From transmitter to alarm, they can be as far as 150 ft. from each other. The alarm can be put on a table, or clipped to your pocket, or in your pocket. Easy to use. Mat is comfortable to stand or step on. For the value, I think it was a good price, seems durable. Battery life depends on how often it’s being used. It came with batteries (2 AAA and 2 AA).

THis is perfect for someone who gets out of bed, but needs help. The alarm is loud enough and travels pretty far. The first one we ordered quit working after 2 weeks. We contacted the company. They sent us a new one, within 2 days.

I really like the floor alarm especially when I will be on opposite ends of the house when she stands up. It was stated in one of the pictures that the floor alarm didn’t come with the pager but it does. Now I have to return the pager I bought. I really like that I can add up to 10 devices on the pager and will be ordering the door alarms also (which include pagers also). It would’ve been 5 stars if the provided information was correct on the pager. Wish I could buy just the floor or door alarm without getting pagers with them also.

We placed the mat at our backdoor entrance. Our cats always stand at the door when they want in. Now, whether it is 2 PM or 2 AM the pager let's us know they want in. The pager has a range of over 40 feet. With the mat we now sleep soundly at night instead of always worrying if our cats are cold or getting rained on.

Pros It worked great for the first 50 days . Alarm was loud which we needed. 3 different settings , loud, medium and silent with vibration. Cons No off button , just a button to stop the alarm. Only option was to take the batteries out and put them back in afterwards. Which led to another problem, the plastic tab that holds the batteries in eventually broke. The alarm now goes off intermittently, sometimes it works when stepped on and sometimes it doesn't. For a nighttime caregiver, this is not good enough. I don't want to have to be in the same room with him all night. Other caregivers that look after the gentleman that this was bought for, complained about how loud it is, but maybe they didnt realize that there are different settings for loudness. Overall, I was very satisfied for the first 50 days of getting it, but now with it not working properly am not so happy with this product. I have contacted the company about how things could be improved, especially adding an on/off switch like the "under the mattress alarm " has. Will have to see if they eventually add this simple feature to their pager.

Pager does not sync with any of their other products. And the mat is extremely sensitive. 60lbs and over, not true. Try 1 oz of weight l, it sets it off. My cat, less than 7 lb sleeps on it and it goes off every time.

This product has been a lifesaver. Grandmom is very wobbly at 93 and forgets to use her walker. If she crosses the mat we know she's moving and can make sure she has her walker to be safe.
