I bought this in a rush knowing that my dad was about to be discharged from the hospital. I purchased it thanks to reviews that explained the option for a low-volume alarm that could be kept with the caregiver vs. the typical ear-piercing alarm that goes off at the bedside. It got here the night before his discharge and I couldn't use it the first night because I didn't have batteries (a nerve-wracking, mostly sleepless night). Night two, batteries installed and alarm in place, it was wonderful! I could sleep in my own space, keep the alarm next to me in bed, and jump and run into my dad's room when it went off. The chime is loud enough on low, but it's not jarring and I don't have to worry about waking the neighbors in adjoining units. I'm sure it's already saved us from calling paramedics to get him off the floor (or worse), and it's saved me from having to move an air mattress into his room like I did after a broken hip a few years ago. ... show more

Purchased this bed alarm to make sure my mom couldn’t get up from bed without my knowing and then fall on the days she was unsteady. The monitor being in my room instead of hers ensures I hear it and doesn’t disturb her. Later I found the monitor was compatible with additional paging buttons so purchased those as well. We purchased for my 95 year old mom who has dementia. It worked well being used around 12 hours a day. When we went to replace purchased a different brand and boy were we sorry. After using a month tossed it and purchased another one of these. Highly recommend.

Handy alarm , just don’t forget to change thd 3 C batteries about every couple of Months. Wish this had a mute button . Turning on and off during alarms can be awkward
