This stair gate can be fitted anywhere around the home and features a wider door section for a less limited WALK THRU. This baby gate an be operated with one hand and opens both ways. Covers basic door openings from 29.52'' up to 84.64" and with separate extensions available,it can extend up to 84.64". Height of gate 29.13". Gate is Ideal for baby kids and pets including small to medium breeds of dogs. Common use for indoor doorways, balcony, kitchen, bathroom etc. Recommended for children ages 6-24 months infant baby kids. IMPORTANT INFO: There is a gap between your gate frame and handle. This is not defective. The gap on your gate will close once it is properly mounted. WARNING: Do not use this gate at top or bottom of stairs without using all four wall cups. For maximum safety, use 4 Wall Cups with Sticky Pads and Screws provided when installing the gate in all locations. In some openings only 2 wall cups can be fitted. NOTE: We have two different ways combination product which means the extension might be different from the picture, but it will never effect the length/size of gate and the opening it fits. I measured my space wrong, and actually needed the gate size down from the one I ordered. When I contacted the seller, they very quickly responded to try to help. After realizing I needed a smaller attachment, they shipped the size I needed out right away so I didn’t have to send the entire gate back! The only downfall is it’s a little wobbly through the middle, but I assumed it would be for such a large space. The 10 month old at my house loves to stand up and shake it back and forth. Our 15 almost 16 month old had outgrown her playpen and was trying and almost succeeding in escaping her large playpen. it was time to give her some more room to play and we researched and looked for a few weeks before ultimately biting the bullet and buying this one. When the item first arrived I was worried as the box sustained some damage in transit, however upon close inspection nothing was damaged and all the parts were there. The instructions were generic and obviously for a wide variety of sizes and configurations and not just the size I ordered. I was sure we were missing a piece due to looking at the instructions however when putting it together I realized that I indeed had everything and installation went smoothly except I did put one section in the wrong spot which luckily it doesn't affect the integrity. If you're not good with figuring things out and troubleshooting then this could be an issue due to the generic instructions however it was pretty self explanatory once I started piecing things together. Our opening was exactly 84.5 inches which this gate advertises as fitting but I decided to buy wall protective mounts to place the tension rods in to add a few extra centimeters on either side for a more snug fit. I am so glad I did! With such a large opening I did use the sticker floor mounts provided and placed them staggered on each side of the gate mounting them on either side of the metal seem attachments/guards as they slid all around without doing so. Additionally the floor stickers provided much needed support for the large opening on the floor and luckily we have hardwood floors so they would adhere. I really dont see how this large of a gate would have worked over carpet. ... show more

I purchased two identical gates from Rainbow Trade. I’m using them to restrict my puppies from areas or contain them in others. I initially did not want to spend the price for one, much less two. I’m very glad I did because it is constructed almost entirely in metal, making it better than a plastic or wood option. I reached out after the second purchase due to a missing piece for both gates when I realized I could no longer go without them. I didn’t want to return them if the seller was willing to work with me. There was an immediate response from Rainbow Trade. They will be sending the missing pieces needed for both gates. The size variation on this model makes it possible to place anywhere, and having a positive quick response from the seller proves I made the right decision to reach out first. I would recommend this gate to anyone looking for a reliable option with the peace of mind knowing you are purchasing from a Business that cares about the consumer and not just the dollar. ... show more

I wish I knew about FairyBaby gates earlier. Bought a similar one that I had to send back. This was the perfect size and very sturdy. Now I can separate my dogs area from the rest of the house. I may buy another to replace another gate.
