Aug 17, 2021-- STILL GOING STRONG!!! So glad I got this light. It is a great addition to my world and proved itself to be quite dependable. I edited to give 5 stars. I love that each light panel adjusts, without having to take the whole thing down to do so. I love that it works autonomously and I never have to think about it. I don't know how long this thing will last, but I am considering purchasing a backup to stick up in the closet just in case. If I end up not needing to use it myself, I think it would make a very practical choice for an apartment warming gift, etc. I'm sure this would be excellent to light up a balcony or little patio area. ********************** I hung this on the outside of the porch, above the steps to my apt. to help illuminate foot traffic outside my front door and also to better see down my steps. I have one of those little jelly jar porch lights inside the porch next to the door, but it never allowed me to see very far. When I first took it out of the box I was surprised by how lightweight it was. I plugged it in, no light, so I put the cap from the screw packet over the day/night sensor and when it came on, I was seeing spots for a few minutes, lol. To make it easier for me to hang, I traced the base of it onto paper and taped it various places until I was happy and then I drilled my pilot holes. I removed the paper, held up the light to the spot, lined up the holes, and screwed the screws in. Plugged the light into a socket adapter I put in the jelly jar light and I was in business. The fact that each light moves a little was also helpful in making sure it was not a nuisance to folks driving or gets hit by the opening door. It has been steadily working for about 3 weeks now, and has been rained on every single day, and so far comes on at dark, goes off at dawn, also draws very little electricity. I no longer fear or try to hurry to get home before dusk. When I come home, I can see clearly where the deck and steps are right up to my place and also if there are any people lurking about when I am inside and look out. Several people who walk passed regularly on their way to work and to back to their cars parked on my street have asked where I got it and even thanked me for lighting up their way because they now feel safer, too. I gave it 4 stars because it is too new. I will update this in future and change stars accordingly when I can see its longevity better. ... show more

These are certainly made very well and so convenient to just plug right in. Our backyard is much more secure now. I’ve plugged em into TP Link Mini plugs purchased here on Amazon for dusk to dawn and turning them off during parties.

This is a standard bright outdoor sensor light - be aware that it stays on continuously when the sensor senses darkness (not a timer)…not a prob for me! I have noticed less raccoons and rodents trailing across the patio at night since this light has been installed.
