I have an apartment, and I needed a nice rocking chair/recliner. I went to my local store, and they had several I liked that were either way overpriced (in my estimation) or would take 4-6 weeks to be delivered. I came home and found this chair on Amazon and decided to give it a shot because of the price and availability. Honestly, I was expecting a cheap piece of furniture, but I was pleasantly surprised. The chair comes in two large boxes and requires some basic assembly. It isn't too difficult, but be careful when attaching the thing that actuates the reclining feature- make sure you do it according to the procedure in the instructions or it will be a hassle. I've had this chair now a couple weeks, and I love it. It is a SOLID piece of furniture, something I thought I wouldn't get with something I had to put together. I use it mainly for rocking in, and I have to admit it is so comfortable I have dozed off in it. The quality of the fabric is really nice, and honestly, it seemed like the same piece of furniture at the stores where I would have paid several more 100$ dollars for and would have had to wait 4-6 weeks for. This isn't my first rocker/recliner either, so I'm really impressed, very happy with my purchase, and would recommend it. ... show more

I often see reviews that are poor or bad and it is only a small percentage of the overall reviews. I now, after years of being an Amazon customer, understand why this is often the case. Quite often we as humans are willing to accept what we are given and if it is bad just move on. Another thing I have noticed is consumers are approached by sellers and offered free merchandise to give a review, I encounter this quite often. If an item is free of course we are going to give it a higher rating than if we paid money for an item only to be disappointed. This may explain some of the undeserving 5 star ratings we see, as this along with friends and family, companies and data farms employed to boost ratings, deceive the consumer. I am here to tell you this item along with the seller is a hoax to steal your money. Don't be a victim, report the crime and stand up for yourself The chair is advertised as a large chair. It is a small chair. The recliner does not lock in any position, sitting, feet up or reclined. I have to put my arms over my head to keep the chair from returning to a sitting position when reclined. It is uncomfortable after any short use. The seat cushion after assembly only offers a 19 inch width between the arm rests. The seller tried to get me to keep the chair or pay return shipping to China at my expense which would have been about the same as the price of the chair. The seller even said it was not worth the cost of return that I should keep the chair and be happy with my purchase in a return email to me. I contacted Amazon and in a detailed email I explained about the false advertising and the defect in the recliner and they stood by me in getting my refund. When the seller found out they would have to refund my money they told me to just keep the chair, it was not worth the return shipping costs to them. Amazon stood behind their policy. No instructions of any kind! No pics, no links, no “do first,” no phone number, no website! Amazon had to send me a promotional video to show proper assembly, and it was not accurate for the cable assembly. Cable assembly not the same as video. Cable clamp was not a “finger tight” assembly. We did not want leather and this is a nice material. The chair seems very solid and the recliner function does not feel cheep like on many chairs. The chairs are roomy for large people . Im 6 foot and 230 pounds. It is not overstuffed but is quite comfortable. The most annoying thing was instructions were not real clear on how and where to assemble the recliner cable. It takes some thought but is not hard to do once you figure it out. delivery was early. we bought one chair and liked it so much we got a second one. Even with the box on the second chair really torn up the chair itself was fine. Unless this falls apart I would say it a great buy evene if it cost a little more than chair that look this good. ... show more

Very comfortable sturdy recliner chair. My only objection to date is engaging/disengaging the foot-rest with the hand latch rather than the usual lever is not easy or simple. Personally, believe the chair should be redesigned with a hand lever. Chair has a very comfortable rocking action. If this one design flaw was corrected, the chair would have 5-stars, rather than 4.     • 3.0 out of 5 stars TWO MAJOR FLAWS- CAN'T HOLD RECLINE POSITION AND OTTOMAN WON'T CLOSE WITHOUT GREAT EFFORT
Two major flaws: 1) It reclines very far back, which is great, but the springs fight you the whole time trying to return the back section to an upright reading position. I have to put my arms over my head to increase the weight on the back section to keep it reclined. 2) Also, when you try to lock the ottoman down so you can get up, the springs fight against you hard. I have very strong legs, and I literally can't get it down to lock. I can only get it down somewhat, just enough for me to climb out. So why do I give it three stars, a passing grade? Because for a smallish recliner, it's very comfortable, is attractive looking, and best of all, is extremely solidly built. I'm over 300 pounds and it supports my weight easily. ... show more

I looked through over 20 chairs from manual to electric power to back massage included. I decided to buy a manual recliner. It was shipped to me 7 days earlier because I choose free shipping option. It was delivered to me 2 days after I submitted my order. No bad leather odor like others said. It took me more than 15 minutes to put it together because I didn’t read the instructions.
