We put down an “ember mat”, then 4 pavers, on our deck. No problems. The screw hole on one leg did not line up with the frame but I’m not really bothered. Can’t use more than three logs unless you take the top off. Be careful with the cover as it seems a bit flimsy.

I've had one before from Walmart, the quality was better, but this one may last a year or 2, just don't let it get wet, it will rust away. Easy to assemble and light weight.

The metal is quite thin, it bends with very little pressure. Came with small dents and the cover has holes in it.
