Very bright light, really good motion detection. Does exactly what we needed. The instructions are a bit difficult to read mainly because they are printed lightly in very small font, and the battery life in use remains to be seen, but after initial setup and testing we are happy.

The house I live in has poor lighting and not many outlets to add more lighting. So, I have been using rechargeable lights wherever possible to supplement the existing lighting. These stick lights are a great addition to my lighting scheme, and they can be placed almost anywhere extra lights are needed. They come with magnetic clips that can be placed on cabinets and other places with adhesive strips. If you have metal items such as refrigerators and such, they will adhere directly to the metal with built-in magnets. The motion detector works well, and the light can be set to come on only at night with motion, or during the day and night with motion. Plus, they can be used as a handheld light in always-on mode. There are three light levels, and three temperature settings. They seem to last a long time on a charge, I have gone several weeks between charging them. I also own the "bigger brother" of these lights (see picture), and they work well for larger areas. I like these lights a lot, so I will continue to add them in various areas of the house.

First Impressions of LED Motion Sensor Cabinet Light, Dimmable Under Cabinet Lighting Wireless, 25cm Magnetic Closet Lights, Wireless USB Rechargeable Battery Operated Night Lights As a Vine reviewer, I’ve tested dozens of iterations of the “Under Cabinet” LED light bars. This light is the closest to what I consider PERFECT. As such, I am giving a 5-star rating - well-engineered, solid construction, multiple brightness and white color balance settings, simple intuitive operation and use. Read on for (A LOT OF) details. I use these style lights for various purposes: Under cabinet Closet Hallway Bathroom Car Camping General Flashlight style I really like using these lights around the house because they use relatively less energy than light fixtures - low power and motion detection. I like using these lights in the car and camping because the diffused lighting provides area coverage versus the spotlight of a flashlight. I find it easier to find dropped things in my car that inevitably fell under the seat. The smartphone flashlight is great when I have nothing else but with my aging eyes, I always find myself wanting more. Plus I can easily recharge these long lasting batteries with the same car charger for my phone. These lights have one of the best, if not THE BEST, controls I’ve seen yet. ON/Day/Night/OFF - Slider switch White Color Balance - Button Brightness - Button The sliding switch is a huge winner. Some of the other lights I’ve tested have multi-function buttons that require a long-press/short-press which is “OK” but not as definitive and easy as a slider switch. The button controls are excellent as well - even though I would like more gradients. There are 3 brightness levels, and 3 white color settings – that’s it! One, two, three - easy peasy. There are other lights with sliding scales where I have to long press and hold to “slide” to the brightness or color I want. The problem with sliding scales is I have no idea where I am on the scale and oftentimes pass the setting I desire . Some other lights lack a brightness control and only function on FULL brightness which ends up in high energy consumption and waste, even when a lower light brightness would be enough. The lowest brightness setting is still very bright for a LOW setting, in my opinion. The battery life on this small unit, I would consider excellent also. At full brightness, my endurance test yielded a continuous operation of 7.5 hours. In my experience, low brightness yields 3-5x of operational time - which translates to over 24 hours continuously. I will run a few tests and update this review. When used as a motion light and activated, the light turns on for just under a half minute, 27 seconds - which I find to be a perfect balance between saving energy and staying on long enough to be useful. Depending on how frequently this light is activated per day, a single full battery charge could potentially last weeks or months. The frame touch points are all flush and feel great – No sharp or rough edges. The switch has a firm positive click at each setting stop. The buttons click with conviction and do not easily depress accidentally. The magnets are adequate, though if I had my way, I would have made them stronger. Having magnets allows me incredible flexibility on how I use these lights. I can attach the lights to the hood of my car, drywall corner beads, metal (steel) shelving, in addition to the included steel brackets. The things that could be improved or are missing (which are on some competitor lights): battery status indicator, settings indicator, 5 settings versus 3, and screw holes for the mounting brackets. A battery indicator would allow me to identify when a pending charge is needed; instead of waiting for the light to go dead. A settings indicator isn’t really necessary on this unit but “would be nice”. I would like to have 5 brightness and color settings to have more steps - but again, this is a “nice to have” - the current 3 is completely sufficient. Screw holes (or the lack of, rather) in the mounting brackets is an oversight by the engineers in my opinion. The mounting brackets can currently only be mounted by the adhesive backing. In my experience, over time the adhesive usually fails. Of course, I can drill my own holes but holes from the factory are faster and cleaner. Despite very MINOR shortcomings, this product is SUPERIOR. The extra quality does cost more - and these lights are priced higher than many other competitive products. However, in my opinion and my usage, I feel the higher price is completely justified. 5-stars ALL THE WAY. These are my new #1 favorites.
