  • This one will work for new 2025 windows 11 PC builds
I had to write this review because I found that this one was the only working usb hub for a 5.25 bay. I tried 3 different brands before this one (kingwin, ineo, and graugear) and each of those weren’t working my new pc build for (win11, asus prime b650, amd 9600x). This was the only brand that instantly worked for my pc, and was easier than the rest to install. The quality of the item is great and easily connected to my pc. The 2 green ports are fast charging only, the red ones are for usb 3.0 and the last one is usb c. The back has just a sata power and a usb c that you connect a cable to via usb c female to sata to your motherboard. Was super easy to work with and is in fact plug and play. I didnt need to figure out any drivers or have to even read any instructions. I suggest anyone who doesn’t want to waste their time with different brands to use this one instead if your building a pc in 2025 with windows 11. ... show more

  • So far, a winner, Not
So far panel works as expected. Chargers tested out and work well. The 3 usb-3 ports work well and the usb-c works as well. Windows updated my motherboard Asmedia driver and installed driver for new panel. Nice thing is MS driver is dated 07/25/25 which nice to see. Driver has been out about 5 weeks. Only complaint is panel mounts only line up with one of my cases mounting holes on each side. Not a flush fit in the front. Will fix next time I do my case fan cleaning. Will do some large file transfers and see how well it does and will see if new drivers remedy the complaints seen in other post. Installed a 9x9mm heatsink to usb chip to control heat. That should help stability. Should have heatsink installed from factory. Chips get hot. If transfers suck will update review to reflect that. Knocked a star off because installed fit sucks and I will need to spend time to fix. 9/4/25 Update After trying to copy a huge file while getting pc ready for a clean windows 11 install, the panel choked and could not perform a continuous file copy. Just like a previous user Dave said in 2024. I followed his suggestion and purchased the Graugear USB 3.2 Type-C Front Panel Header Extension Cable. Removed cable from the bracket that mounts to pc case and just used the cable like previous reader. It now copies and was able to download the Windows 11 image and then burn to cd without a hiccup. So, if you're going to purchase this, make sure to order the cable and make sure you have a heatsink you can mount on usb ic. I used a 9x9x5mm. Bought that from Amazon when I bought the panel. Still only giving it 4 stars since I have almost the same amount in upgrades as panel cost. Works great now for what I intended it for, but buying extras to get to work correctly and reliably is not good. Maybe I should drop it another star. ... show more

  • Nice - Very happy
Overall Good product. - Well finished. The brushed texture is slightly coarser, and shinier than my Lian Li case. But it looks good and fits well. - The lettering is crisp white, should last. - Installation was easy, using standard internal case screws. - All ports work properly. - No drivers needed. It was immediately recognized by my Gigabyte X670 , AM5 motherboard, running Ubuntu linux. - The included data cable is interesting. I thought it would have a Blue USB-3.0 plug at one end to fit the motherboard. Instead, it has a USB-C 3.0 Gen 2 Internal header plug. It's a square plug, not the standard USB-C oval plug. Newer motherboards have a header for these plugs. But if your mobo is older, you may need an adapter for that end of the cable. Amazon lists several made by EZDIY-FAB, probably for this very reason. EZDIY-FAB USB 3.0 (USB3.1 Gen 2) Internal Header (19-Pin) to USB 3.1/3.2 Type-C (20-Pin) A-Key Front Panel Adapter. ... show more

  • THIS WORKS 100% But it was difficult at first... (MUST READ IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS)
((READ THE BOTTOM IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THIS)) Ok so first of all it is a little expensive. $41 but then again, you get 1 USB Type C Port, 2 USB Charging ports and 3 USB 3.1 ports (regular data and charging) 2nd of all, troubleshooting to get everything working was HELL. Ok so I plugged everything correctly, the Sata power cable, and the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Header cable to the motherboard just how it says on the instruction manual and then turned everything on... so at first only the USB TYPE C port was working, I connected my Iphone to it and it read it fine, and it was charging it, but the other 5 ports would only recognize the USB drives for a few seconds until it would "malfunction." I was connecting but there would be an error after a few seconds, each and every time that I connected something to every USB port (Not Type C) I would connect usb drives, external hard drives, xbox wifi adapter, usb charger and other stuff. Every device I connected brought up a message from Windows saying "USB Malfunctioned" or "There was a problem with this drive" I go back and read the instruction manual that it came with and it just tells you how to connect it to your Computer, that's it. It is plug and play with no need to download drivers, apparently Windows does that automatically for you. So now I go and google a lot. And try EVERY single solution that I find on the internet, nothing works. Update drives, restart computer, reconnect cables, disable usb hub then enable, etc. I was so close to just contacting support and then I realized something about my PC- ... after hours and hours have gone by, I realize that I haven't updated MY BIOS in a long time! I went and flashed BIOS to the latest version and VIOLA, all ports are working fine! That's all it took! TLDR; If you are having problems with this, UPDATE YOUR BIOS. It helped me! ... show more
