This is a nice basic vent, with no gasket around the perimeter, but which seals well enough when shut. The louvers work easily and smoothly. One caveat. Don't be tempted to think that the supplied screws are self tapping for the wood that is behind your register mounting hole. The screws are soft, so if you torque too hard, I suspect they will snap, but the soft steel makes them easy to cut to size, after which they work great.
