This Extreme Max ATV winch mount fits select for select Polaris Sportsman ATVs. (See fit chart in second image for complete information.) Will work with all OEM Brushguard and Double Tube Bumpers, designed to meet OEM mounting requirements, will work with Glacier Plow. For use with all ATV winches from 2000 - 3600 pounds with 4-hole (3.00" x 4.875") or 2-hole (3.10" x 4.875") standard mounting pattern. Designed for use with roller fairleads with 4.875" mounting. 2016 Polaris sportsman 570. It bolted right up to the 4 wheeler without issue. Everything lined up like it should’ve. I used a badlands zxr 3500 lb winch with it. Super easy install.

    • Extreme Max Winch Mount
Bought this for my '17 Polaris Sportsman 570 to install a Badlands (Hbr Frt) 3500# winch. My installation experience is mixed, so here are my observations. Seems durable and rigid enough, though the mount is thinner gauge than the mounting plate that came with the winch. I did not use the winch's mounting plate; no place for it (did I miss something?). Only the four base mounting screw holes mount to the winch, the two others in in front on the bottom might be for another application. Fairlead is standard and it lined right up to the mount's face. Pros: Mounting holes lined up well. Either the mount itself is a touch wide or the frame opening narrow, but I had to pry the opening of the atv's frame just a little to wedge it in and tickle it with a 1# dead blow hammer. Altogether a good thing because there's absolutely no play or wiggle. Assembly and finish is first rate as long as the nutserts stay secure. I hope it's strong enough to manage the torque produced during winching, and I'm confident until I see otherwise, else I would not have installed it. Cons: Instruction sheet: though this was the bracket for my wheeler, the instructions didn't mention my wheeler so I was concerned at first I'd been sent the wrong unit or I ordered wrong. Regardless of your atv, instructions, photos, everything therein was overall worthless. Good thing installation is a common sense approach. I mounted the winch so that it is hanging, and not sitting, in the mounting bracket. So if I did it wrong, the instructions sure didn't give any guidance because bracket is displayed both ways. It looked like a better fit this way, but if I screwed it up, I'd appreciate if someone could send their input on that because this isn't a procedure I care to repeat. Speaking of repeating the procedure, I think it's a HUGE oversight on part of Extreme Max that when this bracket is installed, there is no longer any way to access the front differential fill plug. So when I check/change oil in the front diff, the winch & bracket assembly have to be removed and reinstalled. Thinking about taking a step drill(bit) to the back and making an access port. Anyone else have any ideas on this? Conclusion: Overall excellent for fit and finish. Strong. Tight fit. Instructions totally ineffective, no help. Need port through rear wall to access that front diff plug. Update: Downgraded to two stars. My comment of making access for front diff fill plug is off the mark. No room to make an access port, the assembly will still need to be removed to access the plug, but I'm open to any other solutions someone else might have found. I removed and reinstalled bracket and winch upright instead of inverted (another two hours due to how tight it fit, I had to pry the frame mounting plates apart to install). This resulted in the back of the mounting bracket making hard contact with the of the wheeler's bottom radiator tank. The only option is to use the winch hanging inverted without the support of the base plate, which to me is unacceptable, or use a different mount. ... show more

It took some work to get this to mount up and work with the winch I purchased. The holes didn't all line up for the winch, and the fit on the atv was tight. I had to drill some new holes to get it to work. The finished installation is slightly off center, but is functional. The material quality seems to be good. Good buy for the cost.
