  • Great investment!
Great addition to my Cub Cadet. The install was simple and straight forward. This is a very sturdy hitch. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to add this to their mower. Do you all make this with a receiver slot? that would be perfect. I am giving it a 5 star because the product is great. If there was a separate rating for shipping, I would give it a 1. I ordered within the allotted time for same day shipping, but didn't receive my order until the next day. ... show more

  • Great addition to riding mowers
I like this addon for my garden tractor. Can be problematic to install the upper bolts, depending on your mowers configuration. Mine was a royal pain. Like the different options for hooking trailers.

  • Great addition to light garden tractors.
This is a great addition to my light duty John Deere. I have a 6 x 10 trailer that i move from the back yard to the front with the JD. The trailer is generally empty or has some fronds on it, but the point where the ball anchors is so light weight that it bends. This is sturdy and also raises the ball connection up about 6". I'm really pleased with it. ... show more

  • Extreme Max Lawn Tractor Hitch
After buying two other hitches that didn’t work on my craftsman lawn tractor. I was able to modify the extreme max brackets, to fit my lawn tractor. The manufacturer was one bracket away from having something that I could’ve used right out of the box. Giving 4 stars due to the low quality of the fasteners included in the kit and the lack of access for the nut holding the tow ball on. The small fasteners, stripped the first time I tightened them. Hoping the welds hold up better than the fasteners did. ... show more

  • A massive upgrade
This is one of those nifty gadgets that borders on miraculous. It anticipates a market for those who want to do two things at once which at first seem mutually exclusive: tow standard garden trailers AND/OR tow larger trailers with an automotive style hitch. Yet as is also the case with such clever product, it's easy to overlook the reason WHY those two towing systems are different. Put another way: There is a reason why automotive hitches are designed differently than simple garden trailer hitches. Even if you manage to mount a ball to your lawn tractor, the problem is what happens when you go to tow something heavy. Most of today's lawn tractors are not built to to heavy loads. Even if they can be retrofitted to do it, the cheap hydrostatic transmissions being used these days will suffer and fail prematurely. Many folks learn this lesson the hard way. That being said, there are also many older machines still in service that can very capably tow larger loads. For those, this "dual-purpose" hitch mount is brilliant. It not only allows for two different hitch styles, it places the ball at a level better suited to ball-style trailer tongues. A good rule of thumb for determining what your lawn tractor is capable of is it simply look at the plate where the hole is for attaching a garden trailer. The thinner the steel plate, the lighter-duty the tractor. If the metal is 1/8" or greater - especially if it's 1/4 inch like mine is - you've got a lot to drill through but you've also got yourself a tractor that's capable of handling some heavy stuff. ... show more

  • Great Hitch!
Love the hitch. Decided to still give it 5 stars, but the ball nut is in a recessed pocket and difficult to access to tighten. On Cub Cadet XT1 drilling 4 holes is necessary to install. Once complete, it is a sturdy hitch. Much tougher than the frame of the tractor. See attached photos.

  • Nice product, great price “requires drilling on J.D E-180”
I have a John Deere E180 garden tractor. Installation took a little over an hour, four holes were required to be drilled for bracing and extra support. The kit was nice. Everything was there appears to be well built and it’s a good value. It fits well and looks decent. You will need a few wrenches (13mm,14mm,17mm), a ratchet, a few sockets (13mm,14mm,17mm,1”) along with the drill and bit (15/64 I believe). I did it on the floor of my garage. No jacking was needed. Directions were spot on. Swearing was mild lol ... show more
