Description

The Extreme Max Motorcycle Wheel Chock is sleek, stable, and solid. Drive your bike onto the chock and the rear wheel cradle locks the front wheel securely in place. One person can safely and easily secure the motorcycle without tipping. Made of durable steel and finished with a textured matte black powder coat, this wheel chock will look great in shop or trailer. The chock is designed to take up minimal room on the mounting surface while providing maximum stability for your bike. By combining a solid front cross bar with a solid boot, this chock uses floor space more efficiently than any other design. This space-saving design is great for storing or hauling multiple bikes or for mounting on a lift. Multiple rear wheel cradle adjustments allow you to fit wheels perfectly for stability during storage, transport, or maintenance. Fits 17 inch - 21 inch wheels between 3-5/32 inch - 7-3/32 inch wide. Note: Motorcycles with front wheel fender skirts and/or front wheel fender extensions should not use the wheel chock with the pivoting cradle set in the fourth hole (longest position). Use caution during the initial setup to ensure proper clearance on all bodywork.

  • Works well with vertical adjustment
Style: Standard
I bought this to have it welded on a 2001 Kendon trailer. Once that part was complete I noticed that there was no horizontal adjustment that would put the rocker mechanism in the right position so the wheel was in contact with both the rail on the trailer as well as 2 points of contact with the rocker. After some experimentation with an old tire I found that raising the pivot point would allow it to sit properly. So I made these plates and now it works perfectly! The bike even stands up on its own now. The vertical adjustment was key. I did not want all the weight of the bike, and the additional pressure from the straps, to be supported completely by the rocker. The bike is secure, the front wheel rests on the rocker enough to hold it in place (while also resting on the trailer), and the rocker hugs the tire as it should. ... show more

  • Hope it comes with the hardware!
Style: Deluxe
I ordered two of these for my flatbed utility (open) trailer, primary purpose is for transporting racebikes and pitbikes to/from races (often 6-700 miles one way). The chocks are fine - 17-19" wheels use the second hole from the front - and the pivot is a grade-8 M10x18mm (1.5mm pitch), with nylon-insert M10 locknuts. They hold bikes upright while you tie them down (or even have a beer at the end of the raceday). Issues: - The front hole allows the 'rocker' piece to contact the 'hoop' base and interferes with movement. If you've forced it in, you'll have to disassemble the rocker from the main body to release it. - If Amazon's managed to mangle the box in the warehouse (happens, even to Amazon), the reassembly of the box can leave the 'hardware box' out, and you get the big steel pieces but not the hardware several months later. This can cost you ~$25 at the Big Box Store to get replacements. - I bought mine with 'two ratcheting hold down straps' in a kit. These straps are beefy - but not actually designed well for use. They are very long - both the 'soft tie' loop and the part of the strap that winds in the ratchet assembly drum. I had to cut ~14" off the ends of the black straps (they cut easily with scissors, another issue in of itself) and melt the end over a flame (to keep from unravelling) in order to tie a standard sportbike down (2017 Kawasaki ZX-6R if you're curious). I had to do this with all four straps, because a user can not shorten the straps enough to actually tie the bike down for any reasonable location of the tiedown points. All things being equal, buy the kit with the straps at/near the price without, in order to have extra 'emergency' straps. I'll use these straps for pitbikes or 'passenger' bikes (someone else's bike who wheedled a ride to the racetrack with me :)), but not for my own (there's only one brand to trust). ... show more

  • Sturdy and well built, but not so good fasteners, and bad cradle design...
Style: Standard
I bought this wheel chock to use it for a Road King on a trailer. The bike has the standard front wheel and fender. First, the bolts included are crappy and about 1/4" shorter than they should be. I believe the cradle was improperly designed because I tried all possible configurations but the cradle interferes with the back of the fender on all of them. I even tried with another bike but I got similar bad results. I noticed the pivot points on the cradle are higher than the straps that hold the tire. In any pair of holes, when loading the bike, the front wheel goes up to about 2.5 inches from the base, and when locked by the cradle, the tire does not touch the base. The tire would be floating above the base, which I don't feel comfortable transporting the bike that way. In addition, the straps that make the cradle are kind of pointy (not round as the section of all tires are) which prevents the cradle to hold the tire properly. I tried the cradle from an old chock I have, but it didn't work because this chock is 8 inches wide compared with 9 inches of the old one, but I found that if Extreme Max uses a cradle (kind of square) from another model they have and make all holes lower (about 1 inch up from the bottom) it would work very well for different tire sizes and minimal or no interference with lower fenders. I ended up returning this wheel chock because I could not use it. ... show more

  • Secured in Trailer on floor with wood screws for long trip.

Works very well. My Harley did not move an inch after placement and strapping.

  • Works well, it's a bit wide for my bikes tire
Style: Standard
Works good, bike can still fall over while in the chock without further support, not a huge deal. The chock definitely helps just keep it planted down. I've ran this setup for about 2 months now and the chock is already rusting as is all the bolts. Again, not a huge deal, the trailer sits outside and rust is to be expected. ... show more
