Very sturdy wire and have ran around 2 acres and worked perfect to send the signal to my dog's collar. Unfortunately my dog realized it can run up to the fence let it shock itself and after 20 or 30 minutes the collar will be dead and he can ignore the fence then. Damn dog

A bunch of the reviews said their spools arrived broken, or that they could easily break the wire with one hand. While I don't care for the lack of transparency by stating which size they ship, this is equivalent to the diameter that I had on my underground dog fence. I ziptied it to the fence instead of burying it. The spool came intact, and I don't believe I can break it with one hand, two hands sure, or perhaps if I tie it to something then pull,...but I digress. It came as advertised. It may be 20ga but I'm not qualified to say. It works just fine for me. ... show more
