I installed the Extreme Dog Fence system about 2 weeks ago, while it was a little time consuming it took about 4 hours, I am ecstatic with the end results for my 150 pound mastiff. I was a little bit worried about the training, and made several calls for reassurance to the manufacturer, who I must say was absolutely amazing, even answering there phone on a Sunday big shout out to Johnny Allen who really gave me amazing advice and instructions and showed a whole lot of patience. It took about 10 minutes for him to understand the dog fence flags where to be avoided, after that it was just a matter of walking Brutus around the yard with a leash, Johnny instructed me not to let him off the leash prematurely, because the training was a conditioning process and although he appeared to be trained, long term success was based upon the proper length of training. We now let Brutus outside unattended for 4 to 5 hours a day, and he gleefully chases squirrels, he’s a big dog so he gets tired, and it’s so nice to see him lying in the sun and just enjoying life. Many of my friends told me it was cruel to use and electric dog fence, but I disagree whole heartedly….what is cruel is to leave a dog chained or cooped up in the house all day, Brutus is living a dream life doing what dogs should do…having fun and most importantly enjoying his freedom. I am a consumer of many products, and have dealt with customer support overseas, where I spend countless hours on the phone and rarely get my problem resolved or feel confident with the support I am given. It was an absolute breath of fresh air to get American based customer support and an American made product. Before buying I researched many different products on amazon and other websites but picked extreme because of the many reviews I found and most importantly a company who would support me during the selection, Installation, Training and long term support. I am confident with the level of service I have received so far, that this won’t be an issue. Some highlights from my experience 1. Outstanding knowledgeable customer service and support 2. Extremely well made product 3. 7 day a week phone support 4. American Made Product and U.S.A. Based customer support You guys are fantastic, and a rare find….after using this system I can honestly say I don’t know how I lived without this system. I did a lot of research before deciding on this particular dog fence. My German Shephard mix is a very smart dog, and she figured out how to push up our chain link fence to get underneath it and visit all the neighbors at our new house. After we'd repaired that fence a couple times, I realized it was time to purchase a better deterrent because the chain link fence was never going to cut it with houdini dog. Reasons I choose this brand: 1. Price was competitive. 2. Included the thicker wire and lightening protector, rather than nickel-and-diming you for buying those kind of basics. 3. Very adjustable - both in distance from the fence and also strength of the correction on the collar. 4. It came with twisted wire which was very convenient. I was surprised how easy it was to set up this system. I did run it along the bottom and then the top of a section of chain link fence to separate the front and back yards. This resulted in a slightly wider boundary from the fence than the rest of the yard, which did not bother me because this was the section of fence my dog kept digging under and pushing up. The electronics were easy to set up and the programming was simple to understand. I installed this system about a month ago and my stubborn houdini dog has not escaped the yard since. Also I was impressed the company called and followed up with me to see how the installation went and offer advice if necessary. Great customer service!

Wow, just wow. The 2nd Generation eXtreme Dog Fence® works. Installation and setup are simple; training is straightforward and won't take long. Be careful when considering other invisible fence manufactures. We're talking about a permanent training solution for a loved one, so you're going to want rock solid customer service. eXtreme Dog Fence® Customer and Technical Service are both without equal across across any industry. Their 7 day a week customer service hotline is great for accurately answering my Sunday morning questions. One question was extremely technical (I needed to interrupt the signal at a pathway) and the solution provided was seconded by a P.E acquaintance so they know their business. eXtreme Dog Fence is the second best thing that ever happened to the hound-dog in the photo--the 1st was my wife's rescue of him from a kill shelter in Staten Island. When we got him he was a bit of a barbarian and the last thing we could imagine was putting him outside unattended. But now? After following the instructions--install & training--he's out more than he's in on some days. Everybody, both dog and humans, could not be happier with our 2nd Generation eXtreme Dog Fence®.

As an Amazon customer I rely on customers' reviews when shopping for a product. This company bribes customers for a 5 star/satisfactory review by promising them a 1-year free supply of batteries. That may explain the high rating this product is receiving and may not reflect the true value of the fence. This product is no more effective than the PetSafe invisible fence (and possibly other products) while much more expensive than others. I bought 2 dog collars for my 2 Great Pyrenees. One collar had such a faint beep that I could not use it to train my dog. I did not receive the promised number of flags for parameter marking. Battery life is short and the size is not standard so you MUST buy them from the company for twice the price of similar batteries. The collars do not have a switch on/off so the batteries are always used even when the system is not connected to the electricity. Everything else is similar to PetSafe (and possibly other systems) and not unique to this company. The product is effective to keep my dogs within the parameter. I'm highly disappointed by the dishonesty of this company and customers who accepted the bribe.
