The wedge arrived quickly and as expected, in a tiny box. Upon opening, the foam had no odor and the cover is very nice. I really wanted to use it that night so with the help of a hair dryer I was able to get it to expand about 90% of the way. I left it on top of the bed for the next few nights to let it finish expanding and to see if I could use it that way. It was super comfortable at first but ended up just a little too firm for me. I placed it under the head of the bed so I could have the benefit of the wedge but the comfort of my mattress. PERFECT! I purchased this for two reasons, first because I get headaches when I lay down. This has been a tremendous help. Second, because my husband had rotator cuff surgery and I didn't want him to have to sleep in a recliner for weeks. He was far more comfortable using this wedge. It's great quality, especially for the price.

Update: the seller reached out to me directly to handle the return and I was able to get my money back. Product itself was fine. Ended up being bigger than I needed. What they don’t tell you is it comes vacuum sealed so if you want to return it you need to buy a box big enough to fit it AFTER it is fully inflated. They have to have a better system for returns if needed.

Can use to raise upper body for sleeping, or turn on edge for a headboard. Firm enough to place a kleenex box, lightweight basket, on top if needed. Just be sure if it falls on you that it can't hurt you. Currently have one as a side bolster against a cold wall.

We have tried another product that was a complete bed wedge and was not satisfied. This works for us. First we tried it under the mattress and finally decided it works better for us on top. In terms of usage, this is exactly what I was looking for. I am only subtracting a star because 7.5 inches for me is too much. I have this extending a bit off the top of the bed frame to compensate so that the mattress starts partway down it for reduced height. You might find yourself sliding down more causing your feet to hang off the end of your mattress.
