It works well. On some.pianos the gooseneck may be a little short. (It’s OK on my Clavanova) The light is adequate, but not overly bright.

I was hesitant to buy anything with fewer than a hundred reviews, but I'm glad I did with this. This fits perfectly on a Yamaha Clavinova CSP-170. There is a bright mode and less bright mode, plus off, which is fine. It's plenty bright but not crazy bright, and the less bright option is about what you would expect. It feels like a quality lamp for what it is and the price was good. If anything changes I'll update this review. So far, I am quite happy. ... show more

    • Not what I had hoped for
I liked the lamp but it didn't meet my needs. It wasn't tall enough to reach over my music stand/music book and light the entire page. Also, I thought the switch on the base would be great but because the music stand on my hybrid piano doesn't fold down, it was very inconvenient. I've returned it to order a taller one that has the switches on the cord. ... show more

    • Nice little lamp but not rechargeable
This is a great little lamp for the top of the piano. Good light. Power button works and is handy right on the base. Weighted well--won't tip over. However, it looks as though it's supposed to be rechargeable, but that part does not work. It needs to be plugged in.
