We decided to take the railing of my granddaughters crib off so that she could be next to the bed with my daughter. She is one of those children that need to be next to my daughter while sleeping. We didn't like the fact that she was in the bed with her so I went to look for options to keep her safe in her own bed but still able to be next to mom. I cam across this safety railing and thought I would give it a try to see how it would work out. When it first arrived it came in quite a few pieces to assemble. The instructions or lack there of was a little bit of confusing to try and put it together. They were not very specific as far as what to do, it was just a picture, which i absolutely hate when they do that. My daughter and I sat on the floor with the help of my granddaughter trying to put this thing together. After a few trys and retry we finally got it together. Putting it on the bed was super simple and only took a few seconds to install. I love the fact that it can accommodate either a regular mattress or if you have a thick mattress, so that way we can move it from room to room if we need it. The height is better then anyone's I have seen before. It gives enough height to where if she would pull up on it, I feel confident she will not fall over it. The mesh is fine small holes so it allows for easy breathing if she would roll up to it when she is sleeping. Opening and closing it is a breeze as well. All you have to do is push the two side buttons at the same time and fold it down. Opening it is even simpler, all you do is push it up till you hear the click and it is secured. This is one of the better brands that I have had and I feel very secure with having it up for my granddaughter. I also love the security that it provides as well as the ease and convivence of use that it provides.

Assembly was a little tricky because of the poor description in the manual. With all the pieces put together, the bed rail turns into an amazing protection. The item is really sturdy and heavy. Folding the item is much easier when necessary.

Unfortunately I underestimated how tall this bed rail is, so I was disappointed that I couldn't use it like I planned. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to do. The fold up/down feature is nice and convenient for my 3 year old to get in and out of her bed. I do like the option to secure the bracket to the actual bed frame. Only negative for my situation is the height of the rail, otherwise good quality item.

The swing down feature of this bed rail is very nice, and when in the “open” or “swung down” position, our toddler grandson is able to crawl into bed right over the mesh — it’s not in the way at all. I like the height of the rail, which is taller than other models. However, at the same time, the snap-together construction of the entire assembly gives it a wobbly feel. If our toddler stood up in bed and pushed against this, I would be uncomfortable that he’d be able to bend the rails and tumble out. Since it’s not his nature to stand up, I’m okay with it for now, but if he were to start doing that, I’d move to a one-piece design. We ended up screwing the horizontal piece that goes under the mattress to a thick piece of bed-sized plywood that we placed between the box spring and mattress, as this gave it more stability than screwing it to wood within the box spring. This rail is the full 47” long! While I love that because it fits our opening just perfectly, it can be challenging to push both buttons at the same time. It’s easiest to perform this operation if both hands are empty so you can span the entire length. Sometimes if I’m holding our toddler in one arm, I’m able to get one button to “hold” while I quickly move to the other button with the same hand — but not always. The color is attractive, and the mesh and fabric fight tightly across.

Great rail—perfect for co-sleeping! This rail works really well and gives me peace of mind with a rolling baby. It makes me feel much more comfortable having my baby sleep on the side of the bed rather than in the middle. It’s also more compact than some other railings, so it doesn’t take up too much space. Highly recommend for safe co-sleeping!
