My dogs like to run in and out of the house so we figured we would get a dog door to limit the amount of cold air escaping everytime we opened the door. We ordered a few different doors but none of them were tall enough for my long legged guy. I finally found this dog door and was fully impressed as soon as I opened the package. Very sturdy and made well. I could tell I wasn't going to have problems with my dogs breaking the doors. The flaps close well and it was easy for my dogs to learn how to use even my little dachshund has been using it with no problems. My cats have also adopted well to using it. It also comes with a metal plate to put in the inside part when I don't want them outside and it's as equally strong. It was a breeze to install and was definitely worth the money. I highly recommend for dogs of every size.

I was replacing a single flap dog door and gave this a try. I didn't need to install it I just set it in the frame and it instantly opened on its own. I found that a simple fan 2 rooms away was all that it needed to defeat this door. It will open with a barely noticeable breeze. If an actual strong breeze occured it would be flapping like a flag. I just reboxed it and sent it back. Worth a try but the claims made by the manufacturer are ridiculous. I opted to get a replacement flap for my existing one for $20.00 instead. I've tried many over the years but each year they just get worse. 30 years ago you could get great products but today it's all crap. The only thing that has improved is their BS claims. I guess that's where the money goes, into false advertising. Just get yourself the cheap single flap and a few replacement flaps and change it every year.

The media could not be loaded. Update - we've had this for a little over a year now. The flaps don't stay shut so it does let the cold and hot air in. We are currently looking for something else (we loved the plexidor model, but it's way out of our price range now). We had a large doggie door, but we got a 6 year old great Dane so we needed an extra large. I didn't want a traditional flap and I love this French door. The doors are light weight so even the most timid dog can get through, but sturdy enough to keep the hot air outside and the cool air in. I would recommend.

I have a large Olde English Bulldog and most dog doors are slim. This door works perfectly for my dog. The magnets are pretty good when it comes to wind and the cover helps us close it up at night. It was easy to install and very good quality.

The door was easy to install. We had a bit of an issue with the swinging doors at first but figured out that was our error. However, it’s been 3 months and now we have major issues with the swinging doors. Our door is in the east side and gets direct sun light for about 8 hours a day. As the summer Florida sun has heated up the doors have become warped and don’t swing correctly anymore. Which sucks, I chose this style because I have two big dogs and one smaller dog and wanted them to all be able to use the doors easily and now they all struggle with the door.

So it hangs open frequently and it’s a huge hole in your door but it does allow your dog access to potty and play in your fenced yard without you having to open the door every time!
