This is my second one. I have one on my 2004 Ram 2500 and I would move it around to my other 2018 Ram 3500 when needed, now I have one for each. This is a great cover because it keeps stuff in back secure and dry. It is easy to open to put large items in like a ton of hay. The only thing I would say negative is it’s not a perfect fit but it very close. I highly recommend this, it’s the best one I have found. Several of my friends got one also.     • Great product but rails too long for my install

I would give the product itself a 5-star rating for quality of materials and construction and ease of use once installed. Package came with all the required materials to install. However, I would give it “zero” stars for ease of installation. The vehicle is 2019 RAM 1500 longhorn with bed utility group (so aluminum cargo rails pre-installed) + rambox + spray in bed liner. The tailgate has a slightly raised upper panel inside for tailgate electronics access and this would not clear the end of the extang mounting rails for complete closure after initial install (with extang rails fully flush with inside of cab-side bed wall). Installation took 3 hours, with 1 hour spent pounding highly greased rail 1/16th inch at a time with 3lb sledge hammer to get properly aligned with cargo rail. Both cargo rails had to come off the truck to install the extang mounting rails on top. Main parts modification of the extang mounting rails was to cut 1/2” off both ends with an edge grinder. Suggest the manufacturer remeasure the rail length for spray-in bedliner mounting situations and slightly expand the rail mount channels so they slide on easier. ... show more

I had this cover (older model) on my 2010 ram 2500 long bed. I just got the same truck, but a 2020 and I bought the solid fold 2.0 which is new and slightly different. We went up to the snow and it keeps our gear secure and dry (we even had 5ft of snow on the cover). We go to the beach, parks, shopping and hiking and it keeps everything secure. My long bed version is only 60 pounds/lbs so I can take it off completely if i have a lot of stuff (it only takes 2 minutes). Most of the time I fold the front 2 pieces back and clip it so I can still drive with the cover on. Great cover and I highly recommend it. ... show more

had it for a few weeks and it has worked out great. I installed it in less that ten minutes, was a breeze to put on . I have had great luck so far , it secures quite tight in the back with minimal flex when you try to lift the rear cover while the truck is locked. I have been through the car wash , and while it gets a little wet , most of the water is coming from gaps in the truck tailgate and very little(few drops) get past the cover itself. Also have set quite a few heavy totes on top and have had no flexing or dents / bends in the cover . Great product for the money(200 bucks cheaper on Amazon that local) and great cover that is easy to take off and put back on. ... show more

    • Nice cover, makes my truck look great.
I like everything about it except for the way it fits the truck. You will have more bed rail on the front than in the rear but that is due to how the fender flares outward. This makes for a very different look on the truck, one that takes getting used to, at least for me it did. It's made of solid material, I had it on my truck in about ten minutes. It does keep things in your bed without prying eyes looking to see what you are carrying. And if you have a locking tailgate, the cover is as safe as it can be, and will not be easily removed without your key. I put it on my 2015 Dodge Ram 1500, with the 6' 4 inch bed. Seller got it here to me on the 6th of October, and he had till the 9th. I like that. ... show more

Had to find a solution to plug the stake pocket tie down oval holes that are not completely covered by tonneau cover. Other than that it seems to work well.

I had 1 of these for my Tacoma. Bought a new one for my new Ram. I have tried some other covers. Soft tops roll up out of the way but are a pain to open and reclose in winter. I only take it all the way off 1 or 2x a year. No tools needed but must lay down to reach back hooks. Taco bed was much better sealed than the Ram. No fault of the cover. I may have to caulk and seal some openings in the bed but the top has a great fit. ... show more
