I adopted a chunky senior cat who is the worst in hard shell crates. I bought this as it said it was for animals up to 25 pounds. My chunky boy is 15 pounds, and doesn't *really* fit it completely. He can’t comfortably turn around or even stand in it. However!! He did not cry once and even fell asleep in it, which is something that has never happened. I bought this for my cat to take to the vet and I can’t get my other cat out of it. He thinks it’s his new bed. My fat 19lb cat fits in it and my 16 lb long Maine coon fits comfortably! It’s so stable.

This is a great carrier for our fat cat. It’s the perfect size for him and all the mesh openings make him more comfortable being able to see everything. We bought this to start getting her used to it before we move out of state. I think it’s safe to say our girl is a fan! We used it to take her to the vet earlier this week. It held up well and she had plenty of space to move around and lay down. I’m also glad it has plenty of openings so I can stick my hand in to comfort her on the trip (she hates car rides).
