I have used many expandable hoses that were just “balloon like” inflation covered by cloth material. While I liked these, I decided to try this rubbery exterior one. I was pleasantly surprised that it being 100 feet that it came in a small box. It expands nicely and when finished using it, it seemed to retract well too. While I can’t speak for longevity yet, I like the rubbery feel of the exterior versus the cloth. I don’t think it is a hose that you would want to keep outside in the cold weather, but it could easily be stored back in its original box and used at any time if needed. It was nice that it came with a hanger and spray nozzle and a few extra gaskets and teflon tape, which I didn’t even need. The spray nozzle I used didn’t leak at the fitting. I’ll have to update on its longevity at a later date, but it is a good substitute for the other expandable hoses. It also didn’t seem to kink, but that could be because I have good water pressure going through it.

When I bought this I was looking for a durable light weight hose to replace one from a different maker that failed after one season of use. No joy with this one though it only lasted a few weeks. As shown in the photo it delaminated developing ten failure points all similar to those in the photo. So it was neither durable nor was it light weight. My recommendation is Buyer beware.

It kinks easily and it unkinks easily. Very soft, pliable material. Other house that I have had kinked and were more difficult to unkink. Don't know how this will respond over time.
