This hose is metal coiled with pretty robust connectors. I put this hose through its paces and it was extremely hard to have it kink, I actually tied it up in a knot to get it to do that but it didn't slow the water down one bit. It is very durable, I pulled it through a construction site, over and around brick, block, dirt, stone, and whatever else I could find and this hose kept on working. The hose is lighter than I thought it would be, more flexible too. The hose came with some extra items, they may be useful as the hose should last a long time and extra washers and teflon tape may be good to have. One thing I wasn't keen on is that the diameter of the hose didn't seem as robust as many other hoses, the stream was steady just not plentiful.     • Fantastic hose
This hose is durable and does what it claims. It is lightweight and does not kink. I loved that it is an expanding hose that doesn't take up as much space as a traditional hose. I have not had any issues with leaking. I highly recommend this product.

This is a great hose. It did not get linked like most hoses. However if you own chickens beware because my chickens pecked a hole in my hose :(

    • Not a fan
The hose isn’t long enough to be very functional for what I needed. It is also very small diameter. We needed it to use to drain our pool and it did not work because it was so narrow that it kept getting clogged with dirt and debris. The plus to this is that is it metal and very flexible. It can withstand lots of pressure and does not crimp like a traditional hose. For certain jobs it would be great but it did not work well for our intended purpose. ... show more

    • Garden hose a rabbit can't chew through
This hose is probably overkill for most things people use a hose for, but we have a large garden that has a hose running to it several months every year. Leaving a hose out like that seems to be an open invitation for critters to attack the hose. We have usually been able to repair them using hose repair kits, but that's really no fun. Over the years, we have had several heavy-duty hoses completely severed by rabbits; one we even captured on video, and it took it less than a minute to wreck the hose. That will not happen with this hose! In any case, we liked our first steel garden hose enough so that this is our third one with all in current use, thus, we have something to compare this with. The first one we got was more expensive but had brass strain-relief parts rather than the plastic of the second and third, and that's all that was different about the hose. Oddly, this one included a little spool of pipe tape... not really needed, but I suppose if one is really paranoid about potential leaks this would be reassuring? In any case, this is a nice hose. It is as light and flexible as a light-duty hose while being more rugged than the non-metal heavy duty ones (which we've been replacing with these). My biggest complaint is that the ad headline says this is a 25' hose and the text of the ad says it is 12', causing a little uncertainty in purchasing -- the good news is that it is 25'. ... show more

This hose is incredibly durable, even when dragged over the rocky areas of my garden. It hasn't shown any signs of wear or damage, which is a big plus considering the rough surfaces it encounters daily. One of the standout features is how lightweight it is. You can definitely feel the difference in weight compared to traditional hoses. It’s much easier to maneuver around the garden, which makes watering plants less of a chore. This is a great little garden hose. Keep in mind, it is a little garden hose. You're not going to fill up your swimming pool with it. The interior diameter is not that large so you won't be pushing a lot of water through it at once. However, it works well around the garden or yard. I've used it to run a lawn sprinkler with no troubles. 25 foot is a good length for what I'm using it for. I was surprised by how light it was and how flexible. I was sort of expecting this to bend in large slow curves, but it's really flexible. When finished, it coils up easily out of the way. They also include extra washers and some Teflon tape. Not sure I'd use the Teflon tape with the hose, but perhaps it's more common that I realized. Might even be helpful for older spigots that might have a little thread damage. Nice addition either way. Had been in need for a shorter hose for the front of the house right behind a large garden area AND as an add-on to a side of house for a tad longer reach when needed - this one served both purposed very well without complaint. Its everything you'd like to have in a garden hose. The itemns very well made with good ends. Its kink-free and ez to locate around plant rows and when done with - super ez to wind up and carry away ... stores in a minimal amount of area. Yes this ones a keeper thou really can't state a 'forever keeper' - only time will tell for just how long it'll last - hopefully a goooood long time - does appear it may do just that.
