I was pleasantly surprised by this black velvet home office chair. It looks stylish with its scalloped, shell style back and matching lumbar pillow, and it actually delivers on comfort in a practical way. Assembly was ridiculously straightforward. The box had a red quality control sticker with a red ribbon attached, and the bolts and tools (including the T wrench and labeled bags of screws) were right there on the ribbon. No digging through packaging or emptying the entire box. The underside of the seat cushion is clearly marked “FRONT,” and the metal base has a matching “FRONT” label, so everything lines up without guesswork. My 72 year old aunt put the whole thing together by herself while waiting at my office. That says a lot. Once assembled, the seat doesn’t let you sink in and sprawl. It has a firm, supportive cushion that encourages you to sit more upright instead of slouching. The extra lumbar pillow is a nice touch and adds comfortable lower back support. The velvet fabric feels soft to the touch and looks polished in any office setting. Overall, this chair is easy to put together, thoughtfully packaged, and more supportive than many “comfy” desk chairs that just look soft. Great option if you want something stylish that still promotes better posture.

I ordered the Home Office Chair for my wife. She had been using my daughter's gaming chair and it wasn't conducive for us older users. The chair comes with some assembly required but it is straightforward and only takes about 15 minutes or so. I love that it comes with a VERY convenient (and comfortable) wrench. The instructions are very clear. The chair is sturdy and super comfortable. The foam is stiffer but gives enough that it's not too hard and the back offers very nice lumbar support. The piston to raise and lower the seat operates smoothly and works well. The soft fabric feels nice on the skin and is much better than the leather like finish of our last chair that stuck to legs when it was hot out! My wife loves this chair. It is comfortable, has good support and can be lowered to roll under her desk for a smaller footprint. If you are looking for a comfortable, small profile chair, this is a nice option. Well worth the $45 asking price.

I purchased this desk / vanity chair for my wife to use in her office. Overall, the chair is reasonably nice, but it's actually quite small and we ended up letting my 7 year old daughter use it as her desk chair instead. This desk chair comes ready to assemble, and assembly is really quite easy and fast. All of the fastners use the same allen head and a wrench is included with the kit. The base of the chair is a fairly standard 5 arm design, with individual, basic casters. There is a central pillar with a pneumatic lift mechanism, and then the chair base is assembled from a flat cushion and a curved back, which gives the chair a unique look. There are 5 screws for the rolling base, another 4 to attach the bracket to the base, and finally 3 more screws required for the seatback - total assembly time is 5-10 minutes depending on how quickly you go. The base of the chair is comfortable. The cushion is well padded - more than most office chairs I've used - but is firm enough to be supportive. I weigh around 190 lbs and find it to be comfortable and strong enough to support my weight without flattening out. The back isn't padded as plushly, but still has some padding. The wraparound, curved design is also a nice change from a typical office chair. The lumbar pillow helps you to get some lumbar support since otherwise the back of the chair is fairly flat. The chair is upholstered in a black fabric that's soft to the touch and pleasant to sit in. It's definitely a preferable material to low end 'pu leather' that always flakes within a year or two - this should hopefully last much longer if not abused. It also breathes better than leather or synthetic leather, making it a good choice in warmer climates. Adjustability is only in the vertical direction using the pneumatic lift. I found the height range to be fine. There is no tilt or recline, which would be a welcome upgrade. Overall, this is a nice piece of furniture that doesn't look like a traditional office chair and could definitely double as a vanity chair. Unfortunately it's a bit on the small side, but my daughter really loves it.

The chair arrived in a timely manner and well packaged. Coming from a manufacturing background where QC was important - I was impressed with the steps they took to ensure the hardware was in the box and they provided spare hardware. They attached a red string to the hardware package in the box and the other end of the red string to a QC sticker on the outside of the box - genius! Assembly instructions were straight forward and took 15 minutes to put together. The kids rolled all over the house in the chair, no problems with the wheels. Personally the chair is not my style, feels and looks a little on the cheap side but I think a 5 star rating is fair because at this price point, the quality, material, and functionality are good. I would put it in a young girls room and it would be perfectly fine.

I really love this executive office chair! It’s very comfortable and has plenty of cushioning, especially in the seat and headrest, which makes a big difference when sitting for long periods. The tall backrest provides great support, and I really like the ergonomic design that follows the natural curve of my back. The rocking feature is perfect when I want to lean back and relax for a few minutes, while the upright position works well when I’m focused on work. The padded flip-up armrests are another great feature because I can easily move them out of the way when I need more space. I got this for my small home office setup and it looks exactly like the pictures. The petal back and soft velvet feel make it really pretty especially in black. Assembly took about 15 minutes with the tools they included and everything locked together fine. The wheels roll smooth on my hardwood floor and the height adjusts easily from low to high enough for my desk. The seat cushion is thick and soft at first so it feels comfy when you first sit down. The back curves around your sides which is nice for shorter sits or if you are doing makeup or light computer work. It supports up to 300 pounds and feels stable. That said after about two hours of sitting the foam starts to feel a bit flat and the lumbar support is more shape than real support. Since it has no arms it slides under the desk perfectly which is great for space but I miss having somewhere to rest my elbows. For pure style and short use it is solid. For full workdays I would look at something with more cushion and actual armrests. Overall happy with the look and price for what it is.

I ordered this chair to give a compact home workspace a chic look that skips the boring utilitarian office vibe. The scalloped petal-back design in smooth black velvet looks great in person, bringing a high-end feel to a bedroom corner, vanity, or light study desk. The velvet breathes well and avoids the cracking or peeling you often get with cheap synthetic leather down the road. Assembly was quick using the single included hex wrench since all the bolts share the same head size. The pneumatic lift adjusts cleanly, and the armless profile lets you slide the seat all the way under low desks to save floor space. The padded seat cushion and curved wraparound back feel cozy for quick tasks or light computing sessions. However, after about two hours of continuous sitting, the seat foam starts to compress, and the separate lumbar pillow shifts around every time you get up. It is a solid, great-looking chair for casual daily use and vanity setups as long as you are not expecting all-day heavy ergonomic support.

A couple pros and cons: Pros: The material is very soft to the touch - kind of velvety - and it looks really high end and fancy. The design of the back of chair looks really cute and very decorative so it would look nice as a vanity chair or in a teen bedroom/dorm or something. The wheels glide smooth and the height is easy to adjust. Cons: The chair is not very comfortable to sit in for extended periods of time. You would not want to se this as an office chair. It has minimal padding on the seat and the back can be very uncomfortable to lean against - it digs into my shoulder blades. The pillow does not offer much lumbar support and goes flying every time you stand up and it's a pain to keep re-adjusting it. Overall, it really just depends how you would be using the chair. If it's more for decoration or you only sit in it a short amount of time, then I do recommend it, however I don't recommend sitting it for long periods of time as it is not super comfortable or supportive.
