I'm very disappointed that I bought it two months ago, and suddenly, it doesn't want to roll up anymore. I'm stuck with the curtain all the way down (extended all the way through). I asked for customer service. To be continued.

We have 5 of these shades and for the most part, they're good. However, the one we use most often became defective after 8-11 months. The handle tore off and it stopped rising/folding correctly.

Very nice quality. Moves smoothly. Love the Cordless. I actually need 6 more but have to purchase in increments. Wish it came in 72 inch but since we never pull them all the way down I guess it's no big deal.

UPDATE- These have both fallen apart at this point. The rods inside slide out and become dangerous if you have kids around them, the handles popped right off. They don't always want to move up or down or get jammed half way. AVOID THESE AS ALL COSTS, A WASTE OF MONEY FOR HOW FAST THEY JUST BREAK DOWN. I spent months reading reviews and looking for some nice shades for my new place. We needed black out type for the bedroom, that wouldn't break the bank, that could be installed on the inside of the frame. Decided to give these a try.....and....they work with some 'but' attached. To install, took some time, they aren't easy, double read the instructions. People complaining the screw is in the way, proved they didn't read the instructions. The instructions state for inside mounting only ONE screw is used, even if you see two holes. This seems to be because the molded piece is universal and most likely cheaper/easier for them to make that way. They look very nice installed, but spend a few extra moments ensuring they are 'straight' or 'leveled'. It can be a bit tricky if you have uneven windows like we do (a shocker to find out). Also, they do work, so far, but, at this point we have lost 2 rods from inside the piece, we can't figure where they came from, and it doesn't seem to effect them, so no harm no foul currently? Do also keep in mind, that unlike some that you can bring down stop and go right back up, these have a mechanism similar to old projection screens. To make them go up you have to pull them ALL the way down carefully, then slowly let them up, tugging to stop at the point you want. This is the one 'negative' we could think of, since newer styles have a more pick and stop style, but once you get use to it, no problem. As far as the 'black out' of these? Amazing. Are they 100%? Well no, being mounted inside the frame light will leak around the edges, but you can see the fabric is stopping a ton. I would give these about a 90% blackout rating. ... show more

I didn’t listen to the bad reviews and i bought the roman shade anyway…. I’m pretty good at putting things together and I didn’t think it would be that hard….. well the reviews are correct. The hardware design for this shade is atrocious! It took forever to figure out HOW the anchors hold onto the shade and then once I installed the hardware … trying to get the spring hinge to fit past the screws and attached to the shade was a complete frustrating nightmare! And to top it off when i pulled the shade down after installation all the plastic rods on the backside of the shade that hold the backing to the curtain kept falling out!!! Now I’m going to have to sew the rods into place to keep them in place. Pros: The fabric does seem good and it seems like it will keep the sun out and darken the room but definitely not worth the hassle. But just note the backside of the shade is like an old white roller window shade. so let’s hope the rolling mechanism doesn’t stop working. ... show more
