Pros

  • 👍 Some find the controls reminiscent of motorcycle and appreciate it
  • 👍 Can handle outdoor terrains and grant access to a variety of places
  • 👍 Positive experiences with customer service from the provider

  • 👎 Speed and battery performance not meeting some user expectations

Should I Buy It?

If you need an outdoor mobility scooter and place high value on sturdiness and the freedom it offers, it might be a good fit. However, if you require a scooter with a tight turning radius for indoor use or are concerned about potential technical issues, you may want to consider other options or be prepared for possible customer service interactions.

  • It works!
This arrived on a pallet surrounded by extra heavy duty cardboard. The delivery agent was supposed to notify me the day before that they were coming. they didn't. the delivery service did pallet jack it into my drive way behind a gate where I could adequately secure this somewhat pricey scooter but I had to hire my handy man to unpallet the scooter. It would be better if the driver would remove the cardboard and take their wood pallet back & cardboard back for reuse, but he wouldn't. Once this was removed from the pallet and unboxed (significant amount of plastic shrink wrap) My handy man installed the rearview mirrors we located the well secured keys (there are two!) and we were up and running. The scooter came pre-charged and I still (3 weeks later) haven't had to charge it. Surprise! There is a small storage compartment underneath the seat (use the key in the 'trunk' area to unlock) and it's a perfect place to keep the charging unit or purchases made on my excursion. Our local grocery store is 1 1/4 miles away and walking the 2 1/2 miles (round trip) to make modest grocery purchases became cumbersome for me. I've had it out for errands three times now and while I'm still getting used to the right hand power handle, I've had fun 'driving' it to my neighborhood grocery store. I LOVE the fact that the first position switch limits me to 4 mph, while the center position will go up to 8 mph and the 3rd position goes well up to 12 or 13 mph. WEAR YOUR SEAT BELT! The scooter is NOT STREET LEGAL in my city/state, but it moves and handles well on the sidewalks. No sharp turns as it has a limited turning radius, but is it manageable for me. The rear metal basket is a little awkward in the store while shopping but provides some storage for my trip back home. I purchased a heavy duty chain key locking "bike lock" and secured it to the bike rack at the store. I rarely go out after dark, but I still leave the LARGE headlight on for my day trip since it helps alert other drivers to my presence for safety purposes. I LOVE that it has turn signals to alert the cars behind me or on the store parking lot what my intentions are. It sits a little high for my comfort, so I'm entertaining the idea of getting a bike helmet and a scooter flag. Check with your home owners insurance to see if this is covered for theft or damage. Mine is protected for theft as long as it's behind my locking front double gate. it elevated my annual insurance premium by $50.00/YEAR, but well worth the investment. I love the freedom to get out and about that this scooter has provided EVERYDAY. I'm still getting used to the 'motorcycle' style accelerator and many of the other bells and whistles this scooter has built into it, but overall, considering the somewhat expensive price, IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY for the ability and freedom to remain independent and accomplish local shopping trips. I'm VERY pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it to other 'housebound' seniors with some mobility issues. NO ASSEMBLY WAS REQUIRED except easily installing the rear view mirrors that came with this scooter. It even has a drink holder! I live in a very temperate climate that never sees snow, but I still bought the cover to protect it from moisture and bird droppings. I've been told by a young man at the grocery store "Sweet Ride". That says it all for me! ... show more

  • Customer Service was frantastic!
Scent: Deep Red
I ordered for my 81yr old dad. He has alot of health issues, including bad knees. This scooter would help him get around the yard or ride down to get the mail. He was excited abt it, until they delivered it. I couldn’t get the help needed to get the scooter off the pallet for a few days. I guess the longer it was there for him to look at and to read the instruction manual the worried abt it he got. So when I did get there, he had changed his mind and told me to send it back. That was upsetting to me because he wouldn’t even give it a try. I still think it would’ve worked out for him if he would’ve just tried it but once his mind was made up, there was no changing it. It worried him for some reason. I sent a message through Amazon to Spinlife. They emailed me almost immediately with instructions. The people at Spinlife was great! They was so understanding. I worried I was going to hav to figure out how to get freight to come pick it up. They made the arrangements and they were there by the end of the week to get! I was so thankful. Even though we wasnt able to try it out, it’s still a very nice sturdy looking scooter. I just hated it wasn’t meant for us! Yes, we had to eat the cost of the return but that’s just how it is. :) ... show more

  • Stay away!
The turning radius was 17 ft and tipped over easy. An obvious design flaw. It arrived damaged, paint missing and a mirror that couldn’t be attached , and after sending it back ( after me pressuring the company) they gave me a refund for $900 less than the $2139 I paid for it. I filed an A to Z claim and Amazon gave me the $900 as a “Goodwill” gesture. E Wheels has terrible customer service ... show more

  • It’s alright
The plastic is cheap af and breaks very easy on it. The “grill guard” had 1 tiny bolt in the center keeping it attached and was broke by he old man within hours. It’s very fast though and handles well. We turned the side mirror and it broke off first day. As I said cheap af plastic and not worth 2k

  • Great Little mobility scooter
not as fast as they claim it is mine only does 11 mile an hour according to the speedometer and sometimes it hesitates on takeoff but overall it's a great little mobility scooter 3 miles an hour in first gear 7 miles an hour in 2nd gear at tops out at 11 miles an hour in 3rd gear. And the scooter died after 2 miles of running the batteries were completely drained and would not charge I called technical support and they refused to help me wanted me to pay a $200 service fee to come out and look at it. I ended up removing the trunk insert to access The Battery area and found that my ground wire and positive wire were shorted out between the circuit breaker and frame causing the circuit breaker to short out and the battery shorted out also I ended up buying a new breaker switch on Amazon and new batteries on my own because tech support refused to help me hopefully when these parts come in they take care of my problem I installed the new circuit breaker and batteries on September 8 2021 and that did not solve the problem the dead short goes completely into the system the motor is shorted out..Spinlife informed me that they are going to try getting the scooter replaced thru E wheels, I will update later Update: I would like to let everyone know that spinlife and eWheels is coming together to fix all these problems on my scooter at no cost to me Update: I was notified on September 29th by eWheels that according to the technician it would cost too much to repair the original mobility scooter so they would immediately be shipping me out a new one and arrange to have the old one picked up. Update: well the replacement Mobility Scooter arrived today however I had to refuse shipment dur to damage so the Dilemma goes on Update I finally got one that works on 11/2/21 and I love it ... show more
