It arrived today and I eagerly unwrapped it. The packaging is well-thought out, but here was a moment when I couldn't figure out how to get it out of the box as it seemed stuck, but then realized the black ring around where the light bulb goes, needs to be unscrewed and then the lamp will come out. Be sure to screw the black ring back into place after you put the lamp shade on as that is what keeps the shade steady. It came with a light bulb so it was ready to work right away. Love the USB ports and the other plug-in areas. The lamp brightness is adjustable and really goes from dim to very bright so it's very versatile. A great looking lamp that serves several purposes. I wanted a dimmable desk lamp with a reliable charging station for a not-unreasonable price. That's what I got. I've really enjoyed this lamp. I leave it on during the work day on its dimmest setting, and it provides low light that complements the light from my office windows so that I don't have to use the fluorescents. I've also found that the USB ports on the side to a good job of charging my phones. I've found the speed of charging to be acceptable. I can fully charge my iphone in a half day via the USB ports or more quickly by plugging in my Anker charger to the plugs on the top of the lamp base. Note that the storage slots for phones work well with thin phones and/or cases, but are a little too narrow for a full Otter case. Finally, a slight warning about the dimmer: while better than a switch, I agree with some of the other reviewers who have remarked that it does not offer a particularly wide range of settings, especially on the low-light side. Overall, I recommend this lamp as a solid, relatively low-cost desk or bedside lamp. I'm pleased with the product. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This lamp is perfect, exactly what I wanted. Lampshade is a little wider than I'd prefer, but it's cool. Wish it was an easier material to clean dust from. The light bulb on low dim doesn't hurt my eyes at all to look directly at. It did arrive with the tiniest dent in lampshade, but not enough to fuss over. I love that it has 2 holders, because I have 2 mobiles I use regularly & the USB port is just epic to charge both phones. My other favorite thing is the TWO plug outlets on top!! You have no idea how handy those are. I actually give this 5 stars because it is what it says it is, works great, I couldn't be happier unless they shrink the width of the shade. Everyone should have this lamp! DO NOT bother getting any of the touch lamps, you want this kind. More reliable & less likely to have problems in future. Plus that touch thing would really annoy me. This one you turn the knob on the base & turn it high or keep the dimmer low. Low dim is perfect, but when you need some light crank it up & it's good & bright. Easy to control dimmer. It's PERFECT! Ordered this for my camper. I love that it is dimmable. Burns brightly during the day and then I turn it to the lowest setting to use as a nightlight when I go to bed. It has two electric plugs and two USB ports which is very helpful for a camper. Might order more for my house!
