Decent kit. No missing parts, but some of the parts do t stay together so well as you’re building it. A few spots are quite frustrating. Instructions are easy to follow. Some younger children might have a problem keeping it together while building. Finished product functions as it should. Chain fits nice. Gears spin freely. I would keep it in the 10+ age range. Worth the cost. Would purchase again.

This is an amazing product. I can say this even though honestly I failed at building it. Me and my youngest child try to do a father and son tag team and I realized how inept I am at motor vehicles, even just scale. I would recommend this for 12 years old and higher, or if they are truly and seriously into engines and mechanical machines. For how far I got, it felt durable and like it would not break, but this is definitely not for the faint at heart. This works. It's an actual working engine without the gasoline of course, but it can teach you the inner workings of how your car works. Thankfully, no pieces were missing in our kit but I must stress, this is a task and labor of love. Even though the instructions are very clear, it's still very hard. I would say ages 13 and up to be completely honest. I am 40 plus, and I struggled

Love goofy Lego Adjacent kits and this one didn't disappoint. Bang for the buck, these other branded kits are great fun for their size at a price that doesn't hurt quite as much as a Genuine Lego does. This W16 makes for a neat conversation piece for adults, and big eyes from the little ones as they see how this little engine moved and if they are there for it, is built. This kit is a pretty good medium difficulty one that even a new 4yo was able to assist in building and they loved every second of it. The kit has reasonably good directions, pieces fit together well, and the final assembly is very neat and striking looking. It even has moving parts with the electric motor which is super cool but does leave a few things a bit lacking I will cover below. The moving parts are really neat for this entire kit, however when fully assembled, there isn't too much to see from the outside of the cylinders or anything except the front gears when it's all put together. Another odd thing is the rear fan+chain part doesn't connect up to the drive in any way so they stay stationary while the rest of the moving parts move. It's not a huge deal overall, but it does make you wonder why make the entire thing motorized to show off the W16 engine function, then have parts that don't connect to other moving parts and/or having a way to open up and show the inner workings more clearly after assembly. Making it and seeing how it all works is fantastic however and probably due to the scaled down size it didn't have the parts/room to add moving overhead cams and other bits that could have made it a more complete engine, but overall this is still a really neat kit that looks cool and kiddos attempting to take on a bit more challenging builds will love. Overall, not quite the best Engine kit I have seen, but a very fun one to assemble and admire.

This engine was great to build and it had all of parts. It is compatible with Legos as well. I built it with my nephew who is 14 and it was a fun time to bond together. The engine works and moves.
