I installed this cold air intake on a 2008 Honda Civic 1.8L, and the kit made the engine bay look a lot cleaner. The black finish looks simple and not too flashy, and the included heat shield helps the whole setup feel more complete. It is a nice upgrade if you want something more interesting than the stock air box. The throttle response feels a little sharper in normal driving, especially when getting on the gas from lower speeds. I would not expect a huge power change, but the car does feel a bit more awake. The intake sound is also better without being obnoxious. It adds a deeper sound when accelerating, then stays pretty normal when cruising. Installation was straightforward, but I still had to take my time lining everything up and making sure the clamps were tight. Once installed, it felt secure and looked good. For a 2006-2011 Civic 1.8L, it is a fun and fairly affordable upgrade.

For the price it seemed like a really good deal compared to those big name brands that want like $300 just for a pipe and a filter. Everything was in the box and it looked pretty nice for being an off-brand. The black finish is clean and it didn’t feel cheap or flimsy when I picked it up. Putting it on took me about an hour or so in the driveway mostly because taking out the stock air box on these Civics is a real pain. But once the old stuff was out this one went right in pretty easy. The instructions were great and helped a lot. I really like how it sounds now when I step on the gas. It’s got that deep growl sound that wasn't there before which makes it feel a lot faster even if it only added a few horsepower. I do notice it pulls a little better when I'm merging on the highway. The box said it helps with towing but I don't tow with a Civic so I can't really say if that part is true or not. The heat shield is good but I had to wiggle it around a bit to get it to sit right and not rattle. The little pre-filter "sock" it comes with is a nice touch too because it keeps the big chunks of dirt and bugs out of the actual filter. If you want your Honda to sound better and feel a bit more "awake" without spending a ton of money this is a solid buy. It looks way cooler under the hood than that giant plastic factory box did anyway.

If you're looking to upgrade the stock airbox on your 2006-2011 1.8L Honda Civic, this EVIL ENERGY cold air intake is a fantastic choice. As you can see from the before-and-after photos, it completely transforms the engine bay, replacing the bulky, dusty stock plastic housing with a much cleaner and more aggressive setup. The kit comes with a textured black intake pipe featuring the "evil" logo, and a large red cone filter. I really appreciate that it includes a protective black mesh pre-filter over the cone, which is great for keeping larger debris out and extending the life of the filter. Also the fitment is perfect! Overall, the installation frees up a lot of space under the hood and gives the engine bay a much sportier look and sound while aiming to increase horsepower and acceleration. It’s a great bolt-on modification and price is great. Highly recommend!

Perfect fit for my 2011 Honda Civic EX. The kit comes with very detailed instructions. Not a huge difference in power, but the motor sounds way better. Very good quality tubing and filter. Definitely worth the money. If you're new to modding your daily, I highly recommend this kit.
