  • I got a lemon, exchanging for another one (UPDATED TO 4 STARS AFTER REPLACEMENT ARRIVED)
Style: GT Size: 750W
My PSU started making a loud clicking sound from its fan (it was a Hierarcool brand PSU which I had bought 'used' even though it appeared to have never actually been used). The wires and everything still had that new electronics smell and it was immaculately clean, not a single speck of dust or anything. That PSU served me well for 6-7 months until a few days ago when the fan clicking noise started. The larger the load I'd pull from the PSU (like during resource intensive games), the louder the clicking got...it sounded like someone put a playing card between their bicycle spokes and took off for a ride. So I ordered the EVGA Supernova GT 750w. I have a nice EVGA FTW3 3060ti Ultra GPU and it has been a beast; pushing 4 monitors on it including a 34" Curved Ultrawide 144hz gaming monitor and a 24" Curved 165hz gaming monitor (and 2 more regular monitors). I also push 2 monitors using Intel's integrated graphics abilities on the motherboard for a total of 6 monitors. All 6 monitors have been working in tandem incredibly well. I just don't game on the 2 iGPU monitors, only the GPU monitors. Given my experiences with their GPU, I had/have high hopes and expectations for the PSU. EVGA is a brand that I know and trust, or at least trustED. Tom's Hardware did extensive bench testing of the 750w Supernova GT and the it performed well, very comparable to the G6 PSUs. The smaller rails had some minor efficiency issues but the main 12v rail was A-O-K. Tom's Hardware even pushed the PSU past the 750w total and it performed admirably for them. I received it and tested that it powered on using the tester they give you (which is a nice little touch, many manufacturers don't send that little tool...rather you have to do the paperclip trick to test it). It powered on OK under the test conditions...or at least to the best of my knowledge because the fan doesn't spin in "ECO mode" and there's no RGB lighting to tell if it's getting power. When I tested it the fan briefly spun for a moment and then stopped. So I installed it in my PC (correctly I might add) and turned on my computer. It appeared everything was OK until my PC suddenly went black and shutdown. It was only on for maybe 30-45 seconds until it shutdown. I double checked all the connections, reseated some components (gpu, ram), and didn't find anywhere where a wire would be shorting. I then turned it back on and this time it would cycle through turning my PC on and off about every 10 seconds, it wouldn't even get to the Bios screen or let me into Safe Mode when it was attempting to boot up. Hoping that nothing in my PC got fried, I hooked up an old spare PSU which I've been saving for a budget PC build someday. Much to my relief, the PC powered on and stayed on. This tells me that the EVGA PSU I received was faulty. I filed for Amazon to send out a replacement as I still think this could still be a great PSU; I just managed to be that guy who gets that 1 faulty unit out of every 1000 units made. I have based my review scores on this experience. I know Amazon is great with returns so I expect to have the replacement soon. Once I get that all swapped out I will revise my review with my impressions of the replacement unit. I would add though that the cables are very nice. They are black in color and then covered in a black mesh. Each cable is labeled so you can't plug them into the wrong spot. Many cables are even EVGA branded (as shown in my pics) UPDATE: As promised, I am returning to add to the review. Long story short, the replacement works. I filed for a replacement with Amazon late Thursday night, they shipped it on Friday, and it arrived on Saturday. That's a really impressive replacement time considering the part of the country that I live in. I am changing my rating to 4 stars as the replacement PSU works like a charm. I'd give it 5 stars but that wouldn't account for receiving a defective unit in the first place. If I could give Amazon a star rating, it would be an easy 5 out of 5 for their incredible returns and replacements policy and process. ... show more

  • Everything but a minor issue with one cord
Style: GT Size: 1000W
The carboard box it came it was smashed in around the corners a little bit, but inside the main box it was perfectly fine, it's a heavy thing so they probably put it around the bottom of other boxes. one of the cords that go into the graphics card would not snap in. Not sure why, but i tried the other cord for a second graphics card and that one worked fine for my needs. other than that i think it's a good valued power supply ... show more

  • BIG Bang For the Buck: EVGA is the goat of customer service & products.
Style: GT Size: 1300W
Man I love this thing. I was having problems with my older 1200w PSU and I was devastated because I know how expensive a 1200w PSU can be especially a good reliable one. But then I remember EVGA makes PSU's and good cheap ones so I looked around and BAM! I found this. It does everything and some. Only wish the cables were threaded and not generic plastic but hey, I can't complain if the product works flawlessly, right? It's nice and quiet and gives my beast gaming rig all the juice it needs to run smoothly at a affordable price. There is a reason why this thing has 5 full stars, people. =================================================== EVGA has been their for me for 15+ years from the start and current. EVGA is the goat of customer service and products. If I had a problem with a product from EVGA they'd fix it with no problems, no delays no dramas, just straight to it and that's just crazy! Because I don't know another company that does that and that alone has me loyal to EVGA for life. Thank you EVGA, I wish more companies would follow your code of honor and loyalty to your customers. ... show more

  • Powerful Yet Quiet PSU
Style: GT Size: 1300W
Look no further, the EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 GT can feed even the most power-hungry GPUs and CPUs. Important cables EVGA included were 2 EPS cables and 5 VGA cables. I appreciate how 2 of the VGA cables have no pigtails for a clean single-cable connection to the GPU (no dangling wires). The fan on the PSU is barely audible during normal load. I brought the 1300 W model because future GPUs and CPUs demand a lot of power and it is better to be safe than under the power requirements. Bonus points for EVGA for including cable management wires and cute travel-sized PSU bags. Also, make sure to register your PSU on the EVGA website for hassle-free warranty protection. *Please note system configuration tested: i7-12700k and RTX 3080 Ti **Advice: do not mix EPS and VGA cables ... show more

  • Works as it should so far
Style: GT Size: 1000W
I liked the automatic fan feature of this PSU as the last 1000-watt PSU failed because its fan seized up so it overheated, burning out, destroying the Motherboard processor, memory, etc so having the fan last longer by running only when needed is a big money saver to say the least
