  • good for personal use
I had a water bag before that lasted me 3 years with constant everyday use from multiple people, so i figured this one might be just as good given that it was also a water bag. This one lasted me 6 months before getting cracked and leaking. It gets the job done, but id recommend getting a different brand ... show more

  • Very fun
Very thick material. Super fun to hit. Satisfying to hit with that pop. Extremely durable. Very soft on impact and joints. Highly recommend for people with joint pain.

  • Not for everyone, wonderful for some
These bags are supposed to last for 2 years or so. Today mine ruptured today, which is just over a year since I began using this product. Pros: I love the weight and shape of this bag and soon began wishing I had the 150lbs version. I like the shape more than the “orb shaped” water bags as this is shaped more like a human torso. Hitting this bag is satisfying as it has snappy and sloshy characteristics, feels more like hitting firm meat. Cons: It only lasted 1 of 2 years it was listed for. Based on other reviews it seems to not last very long, and I was lucky to get a year out of mine. I think the leak finally came from a tiny crease left by my thumbnail from an early contact when throwing a left hook as the bag swung a little (Thumbless Fairtex Bag Gloves) as I stepped off line. Repeated punches probably caused too much stress on that scar which is where water is dribbling from now. Does that make it my fault? Maybe. I do keep my nails as short as possible for BJJ, so it’s not like I have wolverine claws or something. The only other cons I could list is that this bag will eat gloves. Destroyed several pairs of cheap sanabul, century, and title gloves to get to this point. Those were of varying oz weights and none were up to the quality of various Thai or Everlast gloves I have used in the past. My current bag gloves have been the first, used on this bag, not to rupture by the pinky of my left hand (orthodox) and spray chunks of crumbled foam when my punches land. I will be writing separate reviews for those products I have purchased through Amazon. Oh, if you plan to use this bag you will need to learn to wrap your hands in addition to gloves if you don’t already. Therefore this bag may not be for absolute beginners as it can be unforgiving or cause permanent damage to your wrists if you don’t know what you are doing. All in all, I do really like the bag. It brought me much satisfaction and joy over the past year and I really am sad to see it dying. I will do my best to find the larger version though it wasn’t offered on Amazon last I checked. Hope this review was helpful to someone. Edit: It looks like the bag is discontinued by Everlast, so sadly I won’t be able to get the 150lbs version. Maybe I’ll roll the dice on another one of these... ... show more

  • Great bag.
Its not a toy! My husband has always used a leather heavy bag. He sees a big difference with this Hydrobag. He used to lug his old bag in and out from the garage. The Hydrobag is too heavy to move around so he left it hanging in the tree where he he used his old one. We live in Florida, in the woods, so people won't have to complain about our "yard candy". It must be very durable, as cold weather hasn't shown any damage and his hands aren't broken either. Happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • Great bag! Easy on joints. Great for uppercuts
This is my 2nd bag. The 1st one cracked and spewed water every time I hit it. I suggest not hitting this bag when the temperatures are too cool. This is what will cause the brittleness in the material. I have my bag hanging from a heavy bag stand in my garage so during the Winter months it gets kind of cool in the garage and it was at this time when I cracked my bag. I tried patching the bag With flex seal and would hold for a few workouts before the water would find it's way out. Eventually I had to buy a new bag. Now i only workout on it during the warmer weather so to increase the longevity of the bag. Love the bag and the wsy it feels when striking it. I don't think I will ever go back to the heavy bag. I recommend this bag to all those who want to get a good cardio workout in when the weather is bad outside or just for everyday fitness. Great workout! Don't forget to buy 16oz bag training gloves and wrap your hands. Can't give it 5 stars due to cracking previous bag. ... show more

  • Great product but filling can be potentially confusing
So in general the product works great and holds up well. The problem I came across that no one could answer was why I couldn't fill it the second time around. After devoting some time I realized the plug is 2 parts and the first time I filled it the plug came out in one piece. However the second time, the 2 pieces detached from each other making it impossible to fill or empty. I got some needle nose plyers out and was able to pull out the inner plug and haven't had a problem since. Also be aware that the plug is very cheap plastic so when you use the screwdriver to screw it in, make sure it is sized appropriately and that you don't torque it too much or you will strip out the plug head. ... show more

  • Pretty Good Bag
The bag is great. Heavy with full max water capacity. If you're a heavier hitter expect some swaying with the hooks. Uppercuts feel great on this bag. So far after a few months of having this hung outside its still in good condition with no holes or leaks. I try not to let anyone hit my bag without gloves or try kicking it with shoes. I dont want any sharp edges from shoes or knuckles pierce the material. Jabs and straights are Great as well on this bag. Good bag so far, much easier on the joints. ... show more

  • Screw name
I ordered this bag two years ago, and so far, I've enjoyed it. Does anyone know the name of the screw and its size? I lost mine. Any help would be appreciated; thank you!
