This thing is great! It's taken some beatings and keeps going like nothing happened. It is really light for me, I'm 185lbs, but it helps with building power as I can hit it when it is swinging back towards me and that seems to be sufficient. It's also great that it is light enough to take off the ceiling mount and do some ground and pound with it. The red color hides blood well too and this things still looks like I just took it out of the box. I am by no means a professional athlete, but I greatly enjoy my heavy bag. I love putting on a pair of gloves and dancing around this bag after a long day. It really helps me relax. The bag is very high quality, and I know it will last for a long time, even if I beat on it. I bought the mounting kit to go with this, and I mounted it to an exposed beam in my unfinished basement. It is staying up pretty well. I would recommend getting help for hanging it, as it is very heavy and a challenge to do alone. ... show more

Absolutely love it! only thing i recommend with this is a decent bag hanger and wearing good gloves because the material destroyed my elbows knees and knuckles even when i was hitting light. Mistake learned. The bag seems to be holding up very well after about 2 months of abuse. If you are in MMA you will have no problem distributing the sand throughout the bag since you will be striking the lower part of the bag and so it doesnt gather most of the sand. Overall I'm very happy about this product. Oh and if you are looking to save some money on shipping this offers the super saver unless you want to spend $60+ dollars. ... show more

I'm around 225lbs and I knew going into it this bag was a bit light for me, I figured I would spend $5 on a 50lb bag of play sand to anchor it. For the most part it is fine but if I give it a solid right hook i can almost bring the bag of sand off the ground. So the lesson learned is...Don't skimp and buy a light bag. The rule of thumb is to have a bag that is half your weight if not a bit heavier. With that said this is a good bag. It has softened up a bit in my strike zone but not any more that other bags (its just broken in now). I hit this bag 30 - 45 minutes a day for at least 5 days a week. Even with it being a bit light and taking a beating from my training this bag will hold up just fine for yeas. The shipping was fast and with my amazon prime it was free ( saved me the price of the bag in shipping charges!). Also its a nice bright red and looks good in my home gym. ... show more

Ordered this bag for my husband's birthday. He said it had to be canvas. Checked out local stores could not find anything canvas at this weight for under $100.00 plus shipping was about $60.00. This is a high quality bag that was delivered free with in just a few days. The whole family uses it now for exercising, stress you name it. We had no problem hanging on a beam in our basement. Great product I would recommend for anyone who wants to be able to get an excellent workout at home or get rid of some of the stress in you life's. Very impressed with the quality of this bag for the cost. Mine came with Everlast open finger gloves + wrap, and chain + 360 swivel. I have mine attached to a beam with the Everlast beam bracket. Seems to work great so far. I really like the material this bag is made out of. Feels great! Would not hessitate to recommend this bag to family & friends. I bought this bag last week at Amazon and I am happy with it. I am a beginning aerobic boxer (non combative) 5 foot 9 185 / over 50. The fabric seems durable and the straps and chain were easy to hang on the chinup bar in the basement I never use. 70 pounds is plenty of resistance because I don't punch that hard. I buy medium quality equipment (speed bag, reflex bag, gloves) so it fit into the budget well. Wear some kind of gloves cause the canvas will scrape your skin. Nice bright red color. ... show more
