We have been using this car seat + stroller for a month and so far we love it! We had a technical issue, the tightening strap (which is too long, in my opinion) got stuck between the stroller part and the base and we couldn’t get the car seat out. I called evenflo and they were able to zoom me with one of their car seat techs and we got it solved. (Allison and Kim at evenflo were great to work with!) It’s so functional! We love the ease of using the stroller when we are out and about, but also love the fact that we can leave the wheels in the car. since we have a split level home we love being able to just take the seat in which is very light weight, since we have to go up stairs to get in our home. It all seems very well made and sturdy! But the stroller part definitely isn’t made for going on long walks or using in grass/ gravel. You would want a different stroller for these situations. Also love the look of it! It looks so fancy with the all black seat and the leather looking handle. One more note, we learned that the handle has to be fully snapped (when lowering or raising) in order to be able to change the position of the handle bar and vice versa. ... show more

This is hands down, the best baby purchase I’ve ever made. The infant seat we used with our first two children expired and I went back and forth on this because of the price tag and the fact that this would be our last baby. I ultimately decided it would be worth it and chose this over the Doona because I liked the fact that the wheels could come off if needed. I’m so glad we chose this seat! It made life with two other children in car seats much more convenient with the quick in and out. I loved being able to have the wheels come off for when we took her into the house and if the seat needed to fit in the big basket of a shopping cart. I felt as though there was a little learning curve with folding the wheels, but learned quickly! It was just somewhat intimidating with a tiny baby in there, so I’d recommend practicing first! The stroller handle extends high enough for my husband and I to push comfortably (5’8” and 5’11”) and when the handle is all the way down, my kids loved to be able to push too! Installation with the base is super easy, but the European belt path option made it simple to install in a car without a base using only the seatbelt. I also LOVED how long she was able to stay in the seat. The baby can be 35 pounds and 32 inches and the headrest is adjustable so no retreading straps. Our little one was able to stay in the seat until past one year (she could have stayed in for a little longer, but we passed the seat to a friend having a baby.) The included photo shows our baby’s first trip and last in the seat! You won’t regret this purchase! ... show more

Would NOT recommend! I was between this car seat and the doona. After much research, I chose this one for several reasons: storage option, wheel inserts to help keep car clean, and sale price. I waited almost a year to purchase, watching prices. The doona did not go on sale even at Black Friday. This one was $150 off so ultimately I went with it. How I regret that choice! Also missed the return window or I totally would send it back and get the doona. The storage and wheel inserts are not that big a deal in reality and the total pain in the a$$ that this car seat is completely outweighs those. To start, it took 3 adults (on our 6th kid so not idiots) over an hour to figure the thing out. Several YouTube videos and lots of practicing later, we finally knew how to work it confidently. HOWEVER the transition between seat/stroller has never once been smooth, more like putting your baby through a collision each time you need to break it down to put in the car. I have literally found myself kicking the legs trying to get it to fold up because they are always stuck in position and won’t collapse. Then sometimes when it’s in stroller mode I’ll be walking along and it’ll randomly collapse! My friends and strangers alike comment on how scary and dangerous this seat seems when I’m trying to put it in the car. I will say that the base is a wonderful design and if they could only fix the seat/stroller it would be amazing. But good grief I hate this thing with a passion and if I were made of money I’d set it on fire and buy the doona. But alas, I’m stuck with it. Don’t be cheap, you get what you pay for! ... show more
