Care instructions: ‎DO NOT lubricate or immerse in water any part of this child restraint, unless rinsing is permitted plastic and metal parts may be wiped clean with mild soap and water and dried with a soft cloth. Love the switch from an infant car seat to this 4-in-1 Convertible, my LO got leg room now lol. Only icks for us, the headrest cushions just a tad bit bulky, wish the sides of the headrest could adjust to be more flattened and flush with the back cushions, but it’s do-able. I wanted to love this but I just don't. My daughter is 10 months and was getting too tall for her infant carrier so I needed a new one. I selected this one because I will hopefully not need to buy her another one since it goes all the way down to a booster seat and I liked that it has a canopy. We live in Arizona so even with tinted windows a lot of sun shines in. I like that there are multiple recline options while in rear facing though if you have it on the most upright one it would be difficult to get them in and out with how little space is left. As others have mentioned the head pads are much larger than the pictures indicate which in itself is fine, it doesn't prevent my daughter from moving her head but it makes it hard to get it positioned correctly. To have it low enough that the straps come out at or below her shoulders (as they are supposed to in rear facing) the pads are hitting her shoulders. If i move it up so she has more shoulder room her head hits the bottom of the pad weird and if she falls asleep, her head falls forward so I have to have it set on the most inclined position to help that. The plastic hoops to run the seatbelt through for when you switch to a booster seat do stick out below the pads more than the images show as well which also gets in the way. What i really don't like is that the manual tells you absolutely nothing about the way the various pads are supposed to be. When you get it, the newborn inserts are in it (which is typical) but once you remove those, the back pad is folded up so I have no idea if it is supposed to stay folded or extend it out since she doesn't have the added seat pad. I would return it and go back to Graco but unfortunately my husband cut up and threw away the box before I got a chance to try it out in my car so I just have to hope it grows on me. ... show more

My wife and I are very impressed with the quality of this car seat and our toddler has been much happier now that she has a car seat that fits her better than our previous one that she has outgrown. This is a seat that we fully expect to last its full legal lifetime (6-10 years from the manufacturing date). And what’s REALLY great is that this is a 4-in-1 car seat, meaning it can morph as our toddler grows and develops. The four options include: 1 – rear facing 2 – forward facing with harness 3 – high back booster seat (forward facing) 4 – backless booster seat (forward facing) We are using it in the rear-facing mode, and it was very easy to install into our vehicle...like a typical car seat. Just put it on the car’s back seat, make sure it’s level and the seat itself is adjusted for the correct weight, attach the latch connectors to the car’s metal anchors, and cinch it up! A few more positive notes: - The adjustable back is great, because it allows children of different heights to sit comfortably. - I really appreciate the level feature which allows us to adjust the angle at which our child sits in the seat. This needs to be determined prior to installation though! - Evenflo is a trusted brand for my wife and me and it’s because of high-quality car seats like this. - Along with an extensive user manual, this car seat comes with YouTube video tutorials for installation/features. - The seat has two cup holders, although I’m not sure how useful they’ll end up being. - The seat is well cushioned and comes with detachable cushion options. - The triangular belt buckle is easier to deal with than on other types of car seats (i.e. the key-like male parts can be inserted individually, rather than needing to be clasped together while inserting). A few issues though: - The car seat comes with a canopy...I’m not sure why, because the seat will always been in a vehicle with a roof over our heads, so I don’t see the usefulness of the canopy. - The seat does not swivel, so putting our toddler into the rear-facing seat is now much more of a challenge. My wife and I have had to change our method that we had gotten used to to suit this new reality. - As far as I can tell, the seat doesn’t actually detach from the base, so no more carrying around the child in the car seat (although that can also be considered a good thing!). ... show more
