I purchased this evaporative air cooler for my kids room. It gets pretty hot in there but I didn't want an actual AC for them so I wanted to try this air cooler and I made the right decision. It is so easy to install and adjust, it is very convenient the side of it. I love that it's compact but powerful — it doesn’t take up much floor space, but you can really feel the cool air. I’ve been filling the tank with cold water and ice, and the airflow is actually pretty refreshing. It’s not an AC, but it definitely makes a noticeable difference.Lightweight and easy to move between rooms, very quiet I keep it running while watching TV or sleeping,simple touch controls and remote make it easy to operate,no installation or maintenance hassle, it even has a timer and sleep mode which is a nice bonus. I definitely recommend it I've been using it for weeks now.

I bought this evaporative cooler twice, and both times it let me down. At this point, I’m convinced this product has major quality control issues, and I would not recommend it to anyone. First unit: Within just two days of owning it, the fan blades and motor came completely loose. The cooler started making an awful rattling noise because the fan blades were hitting the interior walls of the unit every time it spun. It sounded like a blender full of rocks. I didn’t do anything to cause this - no drops, no damage, nothing. It just fell apart on its own almost immediately after setup. Totally unacceptable for a brand-new item. I returned it and, despite how frustrated I was, decided to give the product a second chance. I thought maybe I just got a defective unit, and that the next one would be fine. Second unit: It arrived sealed, still wrapped in plastic, everything looked brand new - but it was missing the remote control. Yes, the cooler can still be operated from the control panel on the unit itself, but not having the remote that’s clearly supposed to be included with the product is just sloppy. I contacted Amazon to ask if I could just get a remote sent separately, but they said they couldn’t help with that and told me to return the entire product. Again. On top of that, by the second day, this unit also started making a terrible mechanical whirring noise from the swing/oscillation mechanism. It switched between two irritating tones and quickly became too loud to ignore. It made it incredibly difficult to focus, relax, or sleep - exactly the opposite of what you’d want from something meant to keep you comfortable. So I’m returning the product again. And now I’m done with this seller/brand completely. The fact that I had to return this twice, both times due to different issues, says everything. This is not a reliable product. It’s not even a functional one if you expect consistency or basic build quality. Whether it’s components falling apart or missing parts out of the box, this is not worth your time or money. Bottom line: This cooler is very poorly made, and the manufacturer clearly doesn’t have proper quality control in place. Even if it technically works, the experience is frustrating, unreliable, and just not worth the hassle. You shouldn’t have to cross your fingers and hope for a working unit when you’re spending good money. Avoid this product. I will not be giving it a third chance.

I bought this to cool down my office cube and protect me from the ridiculously high temperatures that my reptilian coworkers keep the office at. It is relatively quiet, with not much more noise than a standard fan. It does a great job if I have it pointed directly at me, but it lost a star because the slats do not point up only down. I don’t want it pointed at my ankles, I want to pointed at my body core. There is also a button for oscillation, and it does not do that.

This is a fantastic little swamp cooler. I can hear a mouse skiddle in the next county over, but I have to work at hearing this run on low. It raised the humidity levels to non- nose bleed level within an hour. It's a perfect size for a smaller room.(About 500SqFt) I admit, I use this as a cool air humidifier, not a swamp cooler, but it works just the same. It was a super good value. I would definitely buy this again.

I do not know how people are saying this thing is great. It doesn’t cool what so ever unless you buy an industrial shop fan to put in front of it. The front of it makes it look like that entire area will be blowing the air from it. It’s not it’s more like a little 4 inch spot with a blade fan behind it the rest of the vent “blinds” are just decoration. I’m in Oregon where this doesn’t even suffice in 70 degree weather. It also does not blow hard either even on the highest setting. It also said it comes with 4 ice packs but I only received 2. Don’t waste your time! A desk fan in front of a vent works better than this thing, I am returning!!

Just did not cool the room, which is really small. It was a giant fan.... Just blew air, didn't make the room cool. Easy to put together. I sent it back. Not what I was hoping for. I'll spend the money if need be, on a different item.
