I live in Twentynine Palms CA and it is often VERY windy. I use my canopy at the farmers market. I often used to struggle to keep my canopy from flying away. I checked out Amazon and found these. I used them this past weekend for the first time - and sure enough, it was windy - these things are a big difference maker!! I filled them with rocks instead of sand. I seen others use these bags during arts and crafts shows, wind is the tents biggest enemy! These can be filled with river rock or sand, Velcro around the tent poles and you should feel safe and the color available is an option. Good luck, best thing I purchased for my family camping and fair outings.

My only wish is that the straps were longer or there was a length of velcro strip included to use to lengthen them. The straps do not fit around the base legs of the pool umbrella that we have.

"4 Velcro straps design make the sand weight bag easy to attach to your frame leg." Not so much! They should have half the strap sewn onto the sand bag side and the other half attached so at to wrap around the leg of the pop up and secure it to the half that is sewn on the side of the sand bag. This would make it easier to attach the bags to different size legs of the pop ups. I use some rope and carabiner's to attach the sand bags to the pop up.

I put sand and rock in these to hold down my pop up canopy at the Farmers Market and where I live, it’s very windy! These work great, hold the sand and rock very well, my canopy doesn’t move at all. I love these bags, very durable, I’m hoping they last at least a couple years in the dry heat where I live. So far, great product, I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for extra weigh to anchor those tents that become kites in high winds!!

Used for the first time couple weeks ago with a pop up tent at baseball game. Did have slight wind throughout and never had to mess with tent at all. Worked perfectly. Used yesterday at a fishing pay lake from 10-6 and had no problems at all. Recommend !

During the wind storms last year, our trampoline blew up the hillside and got pretty banged up. After replacing a bunch of expensive trampoline parts, I vowed "never again". So I bought two packs of these sandbags (which each have 4 bags, giving me 8 total), and bought some "all purpose sand" from Home Depot to fill them up. The sand was cheap (like $3/bag), but I needed several bags to get the job done. Velcro straps make the sandbags easy to attach. The straps are strong, they hang on tight. And since they're velcro, I can easily remove them in the future if needed. The sandbags probably weigh more than the trampoline itself, so the total weight has been more than doubled. And it works! The wind storms this year were pretty intense, but they couldn't lift the trampoline even a little bit. I can now sit inside on a windy day, and calmly watch through the window without worrying about the trampoline blowing away (again).
