Oh! This is such a game changer. I live on over an acre, no fences, with two wiener dogs. I know, no one thinks of dachshunds as hound dogs, but trust me, if they’re outside they’re hunting - always. I hated keeping them in a pen. This screw-in cleat with 40 foot leash/ropes has made my dogs so happy. Free to roam 80 feet in any direction. More than they need really. It works exactly as shown. Tightly hugs the ground. I can’t speak to longevity yet, (only had it for a couple weeks) but it appears very well made, with the powder coating covering every surface. Very nice. Love it when I find a good one tike this. (TIP - buy nylon rope if more than one is required. They remain tangle free.)

Worked great! Love that it has a little cleaning brush and bag to store it in. Bag ilia big enough to store the tie out cable in as well. Our dog loved being able to see her two friends tho it was fun trying to gauge the distance so they could visit and not tangle.

there are a lot of features on this anchor to like. It is built heavy and sturdy. The connector on top folds down, so it can be left in the ground and still mow over it. There is a hex nut on the top and the anchor comes with a nut drive you can insert in a drill to drive the anchor into the ground. It will easily handle the 125 pounds they say it will and the leash is very sturdy as well. I have feral hogs here in Hawaii which can be 50 pounds or so. I use these to anchor the neck snares we use to capture the hogs. They have worked really well for me.
