I had serious misgivings about this purchase, but i am very glad i bought it! Based on the design, with the drain plug too close to the floor to fit a bucket or pan underneath, i worried about emptying it. Like most folk, i don't have a floor drain on the main floor of my house, which where i want it. But it's been running daily for nearly 3 weeks during very hot & humid weather, and hasn't needed emptying yet. I worried that it would need daily empties, like a dehumidifier, but apparently not! For very infrequent emptying, wheeling it out to the deck will work fine. It's pretty noisy when the compressor is running, but the cool air it puts out makes that seem justified. Cools fast and very efficiently! It would be nice if the exhaust piping was insulated, as it radiates a bit of heat during the cooling cycle, but i expect that would add to the price, and i was glad it wasn't a budget-buster! Portability isn't straightforward, as the exhaust hose and its window fitting create extra work if you're moving it from room to room. (if that's your plan, make sure all the concerned rooms have the same size & type of window so that one adjustment will fit all) All in all, this unit is excellent value for the price and, thus far, a very efficient air conditioner.

It worked better than I thought. We used it as our only cooling source. We have a 420 sq. ft. tiny house cabin, and this kept us nice and cool all summer! We live in Atlanta Ga. it stays hot here for the entire summer, having this little AC was a life saver! Would buy again!

I was able to slowly carry this 40+ lb. AC unit up two flights of stairs in my townhome. The AC blows out cool air to help me sleep, so I am happy that I got it for that function. However... 1. It is really, really loud! I already sleep with a white noise sound machine, so I like a little background hum to fall asleep to. However, this AC sounds incredibly loud. It's probably suitable for an office, not a bedroom. 2. Attaching the exhaust hose on one end to the hose connector, and the other end to the windows kit adapter was the most difficult part of setup. Both end attachments are supposed to easily screw into the exhaust hose. In reality, it was very difficult to do that! I nearly gave up. 3. The adjustable window kit is either too small, or too large for a typical window! To compensate, I had to cut out a piece of cardboard to fill the gap (see pics). If I had used the provided extender, it would have been too wide for my window. 4. The base of the windows kit adapter is too large when placed to sit on my window sill. It forces an opening gap (see pics). In turn, the whole base is misaligned and gaps are evident everywhere. Horrible design.

I bought this EUHOMY portable air conditioner for my apartment, and it’s been amazing! It cools the room quickly and evenly — perfect for bedrooms or small living spaces up to about 350 sq. ft. I bought this for my daughter's old college rental house to give her roommates and her some relief from a very hot summer. It keeps the living room and kitchen cool. It dropped the temperature 10 degrees (F) within 30 minutes. Reasons for 4 stars: It is loud and it is very difficult to set up in the window. I read the reviews so arranged for a parent who is handy and lives nearby to do the installation, since it was too hard for a couple of students with a basic tool set to do. (I think they needed a saw and duct tape.) We were going to get a standard window unit but all 1st floor windows have security bars so a portable unit was the only option. It is the right size for a 10x14 foot living room which leads into a medium sized kitchen. I had thank you texts so that is a good indication that it was worth the money and the installation hassles.
