This a review on the Coolvie 14in. Medium Firm XL Twin Mattress. I truly did the research on this mattress by reading all the reviews. Therefore I wanted to write a review that would hopefully be helpful and informative. I had 2 TwinXL Beautyrest 14in. Medium Plush Recharge Contenders that were over a $1000 each almost 10 years ago when we bought them. My husband and I have 2 twin xl mattresses because we have adjustable bed bases that make a King. My bed had deteriorated at a faster rate than my husband's because I have disabilities in my back and heart so I'm always home. When we went shopping for mattresses during Labor Day the prices floored us. Therefore I researched and took a chance on this mattress. We only bought one for me now and got the 14in Medium Firm. If all stays like it is we'll get the Medium Plush for my Husband. We ordered it during Prime Days and got a great price $264 but the regular price for this mattress is also very incredible fairly priced with the $50.00 normal coupon for the mattress of $329.99 is $280 which already is a Great Price so it'll end up less than $600 for a King. The Mattress arrived on a Sunday three (3) Days early. I was so happy when I got the text that it was coming early. My husband and I were careful. He took it out of the box and cut the saran wrap and it's easy to unwrap. Did not unroll. My husband then tore open the the vacuum sack with tool they provide then the decompressing starts. Wow that was so cool. We left it like that for 24 hours and after one day it was already at almost 14in. I periodically checked on it for the growth but it pretty much didn't grow much more after 48 hours. After around the 60 hours we took it to our bed and that night I slept on it. I think that has been the best night's and next day's sleep I've ever had🤣 I woke up the next morning and accidentally fell asleep again and woke up 3 hours later. I will update in a few months if needed, but right now I will give this bed 5 stars out of 5 stars. It is firm but soft. Works perfectly on an adjustable base which I was worried because read a review that said it didn't but knew it did because innerspring mattresses should work with adjustable bases and as you can see in the picture it does!😁btw no smell. Sides are not as Plush as my Beautysleep but I'm not sleeping on the side of my mattress so who cares. ... show more

    • An exceptionally comfortable, quality innerspring mattress for the money

I’m extremely impressed with this mattress. It’s a perfect combination of soft and firm, and is perfectly comfortable. I was also frankly amazed at the fact that it came packaged in a vacuum roll, and then it literally sprang to life upon breaking the vacuum seal. It’s not just a foam mattress—there are wrapped metal coil springs internally, with all the benefits that arrangement offers. Of course, it’s off gassing a little bit in the beginning, so there’s a bit of a smell that’s already dissipating after a day. Overall, I’d say it represents impressive Chinese design, manufacturing and delivery technology. It’s as good or better than brand name mattresses costing twice as much or more; there’s just no way a US manufacturer could provide this quality at a similar price. I’ll report back if there are any durability issues, but I don’t expect any. 5+ stars and an extra “snap”! Way to go, Coolio! ... show more

I slept on it for a month before writing this. I ordered medium firm and that's what it on the packaging, but I'd say it's definitely firm. I weigh 300 pounds and I don't sink into the mattress at all. I wish it was a little less firm but it's still comfortable. The side support is decent. Didn't even take 8 hours to expand. I have noticed that I seem to sleep hotter than I'm used to but I also got new sheets when I bought the mattress so it might be because of them. I'll update in a few months to see where it's at. ... show more

Absolutely met our expectations. The medium firm description feels accurate - supportive without being stiff. My wife has hip issues and actually prefers this mattress over our much more expensive “regular” one. That alone made it worth it. One thing to be aware of (and this isn’t specific to Coolvie): if you're using a metal bed frame with wider-spaced slats (ours are 6"), you’ll want to add a bunkie board or some other solid base. I had to look that up after the fact, but it makes sense—foam layers can sag over time without enough support underneath. Unboxing was easy enough, and the mattress expanded quickly. Overall, a great hybrid mattress at a very reasonable price—and with the 100-night trial, it feels like a low-risk upgrade. ... show more

It's a good mattress but I thought I wouldn't be able to even feel the springs. I hoped that the springs were individually wrapped in foam that I wouldn't even notice there are springs there but I was wrong. I mean it's soft and firm enough so I don't feel the springs anywhere when I sleep on it. I just wanted a mattress with no springs . I wanted a mattress that was 100% gel foam without any springs whatsoever. I might just sent this one back and buy a mattress without springs that is completely cooling gel memory foam instead.something a little softer. Oh yeah 14 inches is a little to much for a mattress especially with springs. I'm ordering a 12 inch mattress when I reorder a new mattress soon. ... show more
