This product is deceptive, States 10,000 BTU 450 cubic foot room cooling capacity, but it is actually 6,000 BTU. This item should show the real (DOE SACC) cooling capacity! The (DOE SACC) is 6,000 BTUs meaning that a 450 square foot room would not be cold by this air conditioner, due to the heat of the unit, and the venting hose heat temperature would raise the room temperature beyond the cooling capacity for a 450 ft room. The only way to find the information is by clicking the drop-down, should say and bold in this description what the energy star rating actually is! 6000 BTU (DOE SACC). It works but its just as loud as a window unit , does a decent job cooling the 1 room thats about 300 sq ft

Right out of the box the gfci plug was bad. I tested it then cut it off adding my own plug. Other than that the unit works great
