This is exactly what my household needed. I make iced coffee daily. This ice machine made so much ice! It takes up very little room in my counter top. On one fill alone I made 2 and a half full baskets of ice. This was the equivalent of one gallon freezer bag full of ice and 3 sandwich bags full. (Ice packs for the kids) the machine is roughly a little less noisy than a dish washer. The cubes are a bit wet. However once placed in the freezer they were easy to break apart. It has a handle that makes this machine portable and easy to store. It works better than I had envisioned and produces enough ice for a family of 5. The self cleaning mode is perfect as it literally only requires surface washing. I would buy it again and again. It certainly would make an amazing gift! ... show more

Reasonable price for a product that actually works fantastic. Provided you read the instructions and you keep it clean like they tell you to do. You must run a clean wash of water that takes 30 minutes at least every 2 to 3 weeks. It’s going to keep the system functioning the right way Works fast. Produces ice fairly quickly. My old house is not adaptable to the newer refrigerator design with built-in icemaker. Filling cubes meant trickles of water on the kitchen floor and then when frozen, a fight to twist the trays and pop out the cubes. Now I keep this ice maker next to my electric tea kettle. I fill the kettle with tap water (this is for convenience) and then use it to fill the ice maker up to the fill line. While we watch TV, it makes ice. Roughly every 20 minutes, I empty the basket of ice into the holder from my freezer. Repeat process using most of the water from the tea kettle. Roughly 4 or 5 times (all the while sitting in my lounge chair in the evenings). As noted in the product description, this unit does not keep the ice cold. Also as noted in some comments, the ice cubes will stick together as they are not bitterly frozen, just newly frozen. Once I have them in the freezer, I do try to stir them up as they freeze harder. They are an interesting shape, not too big, and they are chewable. I'm extremely happy with this unit and hope it continues to function well as it's a real asset in my kitchen. ... show more

To be electric this thing makes ice cubes and an alarming rate! For those of us who do not have ice dispensers in our freezer doors this thing is absolutely priceless. Well made and produces 26 lb of ice in 24 hrs. Y'all can throw away those ice trays and put one of these on the countertop and save yourself a lot of trouble. I really do love this icemaker. It’s compact and it makes ice very quick. There are two things that I have an issue with. First, the ice piles up at the edge and it gets stuck so the sensor reads that it’s full when there is tons of space so I’m constantly needing to push the ice down for it to keep making ice. And second the ice stays cold for the most part, but I’ve left my ice machine on all night to keep it nice and cold and it’s still melted together by morning. There were tons of chunks of ice that melted into little pellets instead of circles like it’s supposed to be. (Pictured) for the most part.
