so far so good with this icemaker. I bought it for home use because my refrigerator can't keep up with my ice needs. I have had 3 small "bullet" icemakers in the past and they all failed after a year or two. I also wanted something I can connect to a water source and not have to fill all the time. This fit the bill and makes ALOT of ice. I have only had it a week, so only time will tell if it is durable. This machine makes ice in sheets of 36 cubes at a time every 12 min. They break apart easily with an ice scoop and are perfect for drinks. It makes some noise, but is not obnoxious. So far I am very happy with this.

This machine is efficient and produces a lot of ice and FAST! It is easy to fill and keep clean. We use it constantly and have had ZERO PROBLEMS. This is a great buy for the money and no need to worry about having enough ice.

I got it installed. It comes with most of the parts you need. If you are plumbing to the sewer you will need a branch drain; not hard to swap that out with some basic plumbing skills. My only gripe is that the included drain line is way shorter than the provided water line. I wound up trimming the water line shorter and the drain line was not long enough so I had to get a longer one from one of the big box home improvement stores. Since I needed a tap for the copper pipe for the water side anyhow it wasn't a big deal. Turned the water on, let it fill, clean cycle, drain, clean cycle, drain. Now it's making ice. Now for the stuff you need to know...it seems to splash a lot into the ice storage bin a lot while making ice which will melt the ice faster and waste water. It splashes so much it hits the inside of the window. Which brings me to the next item... The door. Hopefully it gets better over time but it's stiff and a little difficult to open. I'm hoping that frees up over time. It's not whisper quiet but also not super loud. It's quieter than the old portable one we had and the pitch of the noise is much lower. The sounds of the water splashing inside as it's making ice is louder than the machine itself. Waiting for it to make ice and then will follow up but we can already see ice forming.

No way it makes 80 # of ice but it does a good job otherwise. Keep in mind the bin is not a freezer so ice cubes can still melt. Has some features in it. Ice scoop included is great!

Incredibly disappointing. It took my husband almost a month to get it set up so of course we can’t return it. It’s loud, the machine doesn’t keep the ice cold so you end up draining more water out of it than usable ice. The literature on this machine is seriously lacking.
