I waited 3 months before writing a review, just to make sure the machine was solid. So far, its been reliable and wonderful. I hooked up dedicated water/drain lines. I have it set to -6min on ice making timer, since we like thinner ice. If you use custom ice settings and you lose power it will reset to default. This is not a problem, because the menu and buttons are very easy to use. Very pleased with this product, i would recommend to others is they have space and hookups to install. My wife loves it, she is a big ice person and this thing makes tons of ice. I’ll admit I was nervous about purchasing this for my home. In the summer, we used to purchase a lot of ice on the weekends for pool parties, it seemed we could never buy enough and if we did we ran out of cooler space to store it. Running to the store before a party and worrying about running out of ice was inconvenient and stressful. I reasoned that in a couple of years this would pay for itself, and I’m confident it will. Ok, this was a tough decision on my review. The seller was good with communication, but the first two units arrived DOA. Dead on arrival. However, they sent a new unit twice until I got a working unit. My instinct was to toss out a bad review, but the seller did the best they could and I think the first one was shipping damage. So the four stars was earned because the seller came through even though I expect they lost money on the whole thing. As a business owner myself, I know how this can hurt, but you do the right thing and make it up in the long run. Once I got a good unit, and it was on - we got ice for dayzzzz - I mean this thing is like the terminator - it does not stop! I mean - Ice Ice Baby... We have only had machine hooked up for a little over a week, but so far everything works great. Makes ice quickly. As of now would definately recommend. Update we have now had machine for awhile it is still working great. Really puts out the ice. Would still recommend for purchase.
