  • Great Ice Without the Premium Price
Set name: 1,00-Silver
I lost a $1,300 ice maker during Hurricane Ian, and then lost another in Hurricane Milton. I wasn’t about to spend that kind of money again knowing another storm could come through. I decided to give this one a try, and I’m glad I did. It produces plenty of ice, keeps up with entertaining, and has been a great value. Pros: * Produces ice quickly and consistently. * Plenty of capacity for parties and everyday use. * Much more affordable than high-end built-in units. * Easy to operate and maintain. * Outstanding value for the performance. Cons: * It’s not as premium in fit and finish as units costing four or five times as much, but the ice is just as cold. If you’re looking for a dependable ice maker without spending a fortune, this one is an excellent choice. It proves you don’t have to spend over a thousand dollars to get great ice. ... show more

  • Pumps out the Ice!!!
Set name: 350
I'd give this 4.5 stars if Amazon allowed it, so I went with 5 stars with a bit of an asterisk. First, this thing cranks out ice. I was honestly amazed—it easily produces what feels like 15+ pounds of ice per hour. The price is also extremely fair for what it does. We went from constantly buying bags of ice to having more ice than we know what to do with. I originally looked at ice makers that cost three times as much, but at $629, I figured it was worth taking a chance. So far, I'm very happy with the purchase. That said, there are a few things buyers should know. First, this machine is designed to make ice, not store it (the manual does mention this, but I didn't fully appreciate what that meant before buying). The ice can sit in the bin for a while (maybe even overnight), but it will eventually get wet and begin to melt. I now transfer it to coolers or freezer bags and store it in the freezer. I also had my plumber install an automatic condensate pump so any water collecting in the bin is drained away. That's an extra expense, but it's worked well for me. Second, this machine is loud. It also generates a surprising amount of heat. It raised the temperature in our utility room by what feels like 10 degrees, so keep that in mind if you're placing it in a small enclosed space. Finally, I had to do a little tweaking to get the ice just right. Right out of the box, the cubes were fairly hollow and melted quickly in drinks. At first I thought, "Uh-oh, this isn't good." Fortunately, you can adjust the cube thickness/density. The instructions for doing that are a bit confusing, but once I figured it out, the ice quality improved significantly. Bottom line: I'm very happy with this purchase. It makes an incredible amount of ice for the price, but there are a few quirks and a bit of a learning curve. If you understand those going in, I think you'll be very pleased. ... show more

  • Really puts out the ice
Set name: 1,00-Silver
If you need a-lot of ice fast this really works well. Bought for an outdoor cabana bar at our home after fridge ice maker broke which wasn’t enough for high demand use days. Unit is quiet and as I said efficient. I paired it with a yeti cooler to store the first batch of ice once it filled up for a reunion party and that worked great as ice will actually keep in the unit itself even on 80 plus degree days for several hours. Set up was easy. As I’m on a well I did put both an inline sediment and taste filter on the water supply side for good measure which seems to work well. I keep my ice setting at zero which also seems to work well in most ambient air temp ranges to make nice cubes. I clean by putting a little white vinegar in the water tray and running the cleaning cycle after every use and then keep the door open until it drys out thoroughly. Nice unit! ... show more

  • Great ice machine. Occasionally needs some tinkering
Set name: 1,00-Silver
It’s lasted longer than I expected! Bought this ice machine July 2024 and I figured I’d “break even” if it lasted a year. It’s March 2026 and this thing is still working well. That’s approximately 20 months. CONS- You’ve gotta “fiddle” with it. It’ll show a malfunction code and stop making ice. I usually unplug it for 30 minutes and will start making ice again after it resets. Gotta clean it every 2-4 weeks. These machines get nasty and moldy pretty quickly. I’ll spray the insides down with vinegar and then hose it out. I should probably clean it more often. Air compressor or fan varies in speed during the day. It sounds like the ice machine is about to self destruct, but it keeps on working fine! Overall it’s a good ice machine for the price. I use it daily for filling my work cooler. You’ve gotta pay attention to it and the error codes (E2 I think). I have to unplug it and let it reset every 10-14 days or so…then it works fine again. It’s worked well for the sub 400 dollar price I paid. Hoshizaki under counter ice machines were approximately 2200 dollars years ago when I bought this Euhomy unit for less than 400 It’s kept my work cooler filled with ice for nearly 20 months. I expect it to to die any day now, but overall I’m pretty satisfied with this ice machine. ... show more

  • How did I go this long without an icemaker?
Set name: 2,00-Silver
Who hasn’t always wanted a larger icemaker than the one that comes with your refrigerator? This has to probably be one of the coolest purchases that my wife has ever made on Amazon. She surprised me with this icemaker for Father’s Day and it’s been such a great tool to have for days out on the boat and there’s a long travel BASEBALL days with an icy breeze. It makes ice very quickly and fills up our 65 quart boat cooler with no problem with one bin. It’s very easy to drain and I ended up running hours to hour garage sink drain. I bought a tailpiece for a sink with a dishwasher barb on it to allow it to hook directly to that to drain and installed some shark bite dual valve fitting to allow water to still go to the sink and the icemaker. We ended up making a nice little mount for it to make it economically friendly, and it also helped with the drain making it gravity feed directly into the tailpiece. ... show more

  • Love this ice maker!
Set name: 1,00-Silver
Wow this thing is a workhorse! Bought it for our vacation home since my husband and son often need ice for coolers when fishing and buying and storing the big bags of ice is a pain. It did take them awhile to install it as we had to run a drainline. It’s located in our golf cart garage which tends to be warm and very humid but this thing makes ice like crazy! It’s really fast too. They can empty it in the morning and we will have ice by mid afternoon. I love the shape of the cubes too. Bonus is it’s quiet. There’s a bedroom adjacent to where it is and you can’t hear it running. Very pleased with this purchase! ... show more

  • Nice productive little machine
Set name: 1,00-Silver
Hooked the ice machine up and have had it running for a day. None of the reviews mentioned the inside ice hopper dimensions, which I was curious about: Front to back: 12” Width: 15” Bottom to front lip: 10 ½” Bottom to ice maker trip switch: 12” Yes, it looks small and measures smaller than I would have liked. Ran it overnight on +6 (highest setting for full cubes) and it held two full bags plus another 1/3 bag. I purchased the “Pinnacle Mercantile Plastic Ice Bags 10 Lb. with Draw String Closure Pack 100”. The bags are thinner than I would like, but held up to dropping a frozen bag of cubes a few times. I think they will be reusable one more time before they start to get holes. Perhaps if one was careful and gentle, they could be reused more. I am not careful or gentle so am looking for a sturdier bag. As it filled, the ‘blocks’ did not break up, so I had a lot of full blocks to break up before I could bag. I used a metal 24 Ounce aluminum scoop to bang on them. Not the easiest thing to do in such a small space. An 8 ounce ballpeen hammer did a much better job. I was worried about cracking the inside casing, but solved that below. With the cube set on “6” it made a cycle in 22 to 25 minutes. As others mentioned, it produces a surprising amount of ice. If one kept on top of it, I could see 6+ of the bags per day. My boat needs are 4 bags/day and this will more than keep up with that. The ice does melt in the hopper. Overnight (8 hours from empty hopper) at 75 environment degrees (as reported on the machine screen) there were 7 cups of drain water. The ice was ‘wet’ when bagged, but bagged and put in the freezer like that, it easily broke up by dropping the bag on the floor, once on each side. Pretty standard even for purchased ice. Noise level: It is pretty noisy. A louder than expected hum of the compressor/fan. Annoying if you are in the same room, not too noticeable if in an adjacent room. The blocks dropping in an empty hopper is a bit noisy. The machine came with nice foam padding in the packaging. I cut a piece to fit in the bottom (cutting out for the drain) and that eliminated that. It has not been a pain to scoop off of and I figure to take it out every few days and replace with a second one I made, to let the first one air out. This does, however, prevent the first blocks from breaking up as they hit the bottom though. The ballpeen hammer works well and with the foam padding on the bottom, I believe I have helped eliminate the possibility of cracking the inside casing. Overall, I initially give this little bugger a 5 rating. Time will tell how well it holds up. Came very well packaged, no damage. Hooked up easily, came with more than enough parts needed. I bought the recommended in-line filter, so have a ton of extra waterline. Screen is pretty simple to use. They are one touch buttons, no “menu” to scroll though to find something. Only negative so far is the height of the opening. It really needs to be raised to make scooping out easier. Could use a larger holding bin also, but with about an actual 25# of ice storage, fine for my needs Yeah, they say 33# but that would be all blocks broken up and manipulating the cubes to fill the hopper. Not going to happen in real life. Front grill, top and back are metal. Thin gauge, but still metal as advertised. Sides, door and frame are plastic. Fairly heavy plastic, but I would not put this in a heavy abuse location. Plastic door does slide up and lock open, is not removable. For my use, needing 4 bags/day for boat fishing, this will fit the bill. I can accomplish this bagging twice a day. For the other retired bachelors who go fishing every day, this is how I set mine up. Spare bathtub. Put 2x6’s across the tub to set the machine on, resting on pieces of the packing foam to cushion and prevent slipping. Puts the opening at a much more comfortable level for scooping out. Feed the filter/machine from the shower head, with a shutoff to the feed and separate shutoff for the shower spray. Drain water goes into the tub. I can clean the inside using the shower spray. I capped the tub faucet because in time, I know it will leak and I don’t need it. Hanging work light as it is easier to see inside the machine. Dropped ice while bagging falls into the tub. ... show more
