  • Great value for small businesses
Size: 100 lbs/24 h/Non-Crescent Ice
Wow! We have a venue and this tiny ice maker is incredible! We can bag two 10-lb bags of ice to freeze in a few hours for our wedding guests - highly recommend a water pump to connect to your drain if it's above ground level as it's not designed to keep the ice frozen (which is preferable for us). This is one of our most treasured purchases, it's compact, easy to set and really gets things done, for the price and the quantity of ice it delivers, it is an amazing unit. ... show more

  • This Ice Machine Is Awesome!
Size: 100 lbs/24 h/Non-Crescent Ice
This machine is awesome. We own an Italian Ice Store which we just opened 6 weeks ago and we were constantly running out to buy ice. Since we went over budget so much getting our store ready to open, we couldn't afford one of those expensive ice machines so one day I was looking on Amazon and I found this ice machine. I read the reviews and I figured it must be a decent machine though I was a bit skeptical of how much ice it would make. I said to my wife, "Let's take a chance on it and even if it only makes half of the ice we need, that will make it so we don't need to run out to buy ice so often." I connected the machine to the water and electric on Friday about noon and by later in the day, I was totally amazed at how much ice this machine was making. Then I came in on Saturday Morning and the bin was full and that gave me 3 bags of ice to start the day with. As the day went on Saturday, I noticed that the machine wasn't making ice as fast as it was the past couple of days. We have the machine in a very small room and after realizing the machine wasn't making ice as fast, I also realized that the room temperature had gone up 9 degrees F since the day we started using the machine. The room temperature will have a major effect on a machine like this. On Monday I brought a fan in to circulate the air out of the room and bring cooler air in and the room cooled down in no time. After that, the machine was again spitting the ice out really fast. This made me think about reviews of this machine I read stating that it doesn't make ice fast enough could very well be because the person has their ice machine in too warm of a location. If you ever purchase a machine like this, be sure to place it in an area as cool as you can. I am loving this machine. If you look at the picture I posted, all of the blue bags are from this ice machine. You need to take into consideration that we use ice all day long and I just took this picture and I haven't even emptied the ice machine yet this morning so there are another 3 bags in the machine waiting for me to place in the freezer. After owning this ice machine for almost 2 months, I wrote this to the company: We sell Italian Ice and we are both elderly and have back problems. We were constantly running to Kroger or Walmart to purchase ice and we would buy 140 lb. to 160 lb. each time. We would have to load it in the back of our pickup truck and then carry all the ice into our store which was very difficult to do. One day I was on Amazon.com and decided to search and see what kind of ice machines were available. Due to us going over budget to open our store, we could not afford to spend a lot of money. I was surprised at how many ice machines I found that were affordable, but I was skeptical as to if any of them would make near as much ice as we use. After looking at many machines, I showed your machine to my wife and said, “Even if it makes half as much ice as they claim it makes, that will save us trips to the store and the ice won’t be all frozen together like the ice we are buying.” Your ice machine surprised me the very first day I had it working. I could not believe how much ice it kept making. I find your ice machine to be amazing. We often have times that we can’t remove ice from the machine because all 3 of our freezers are totally full. I included the pictures of our freezers just so you can see how much ice we have on hand. Due to how much ice we do have on hand, we decided that we are not only going to use the ice for our Italian Ice, we are also going to start selling bags of ice. ... show more

  • Working great, makes ice at the rated speed!
Size: 100 lbs/24 h/Non-Crescent Ice
This product is certainly "easy to install". I put that in quotes, since you need a water line coming in, and a drain line going out. It's very easy, in that it just plugs into your power outlet (no hard wiring), but if you aren't particularly handy you might need a plumber to run those lines for you. But it's not a complicated install either way. Some things to note, and none of these are 'knocks' on the Euhomy, this is the way all ice makers in this category operate, but if you're just getting one for the first time for your house, maybe you didn't know. 1) The bin where the ice is stored is just a bin. Ice in there will slowly melt over time. Only the part of the machine where the ice is made is chilled. This is probably a good thing for you. It makes this product much more affordable, and it is friendlier to your electric bill. 2) You need three things - a power outlet (regular 110V), a water line coming in (same as your refrigerator's ice maker needed), and a drain line coming out - remember that bin? When ice melts, it becomes water. That will pool on the floor, or you can run the line and remove the water. Do that. ;) In my case, we installed it in our garage. It's not obnoxiously loud, but if you put it in your kitchen, you WILL hear the condenser come on as it's making ice. It sits about 6 feet from our hot water heater, so we had a relatively easy install, we had a guy tap that water line for the heater, and run it also to the Euhomy. Voila, ice coming in! We installed a water filter in between the water line and the ice maker, because filtration! For the drain line, there was no way to get it safely outside my garage floor without a condensate pump. All ice makers like this rely on a gravity drain. If the drain line runs DOWN, gravity will ensure the water leaves. The further you run that line, the less likely you can keep it sloping downward. So any local big box hardware store will sell for under $100 a water condensate pump. Run the line to the pump, and then from the pump to a place where it's safe for water to go, and you're good to go. Our line from the ice maker to the pump is a downward slope, and the pump has a float, then when it floats that means enough water is in the unit, and it pumps it out of our house. Get a good pump, the cheap ones fail relentlessly. Our same plumber ran that line right next to where the water heater's exit line was, drilled a small hole, and boom - all my melted ice water flows safely to the grass outside my garage. One last thing... I'll say it again. If you need a condensate pump, buy a good one. The first one we had died really quick. The cheap ones are very cheap, and being in the garage didn't help (the motor overheated). We knew it failed right away, there was puddle of water on the floor one morning, and the unit was very hot. It had a small fan near the power supply that burned out within a month of installation. I bought a much better pump, and have had no problems yet. It also has a float-less design (one less thing to get 'stuck') and lots of indicators. Don't spend $400-500 on a ice maker, and possibly $200-400 on a plumber and then stick a cheap pump in there. Get a good pump if you need it! Because it's in a garage, and because that garage is in South Florida, I did use the timer feature to let it "freeze" ice longer. I have it set to +4 - which basically means it freezes the ice an additional four minutes before dropping it in the bin. The ice was a little to "soft" with some unfrozen water in the middle of the cube otherwise. Depending on where your ice maker is, you might not need that drastic an adjustment. It still makes ice really quick and really often. The ONLY other quirk is... it's rainy season in Florida. We get a lot of thunderstorms, and our power likes to blip out for a minute or two sometimes. This unit will NOT turn itself back on. So some morning I walk in, and the bin is less than full because the power in the house went out briefly. Push the power button, reset my timer to +4 and I'm good to go. I wish it had an auto-power feature to turn itself back on. I may add a small UPS to avoid the power interruptions, and to prolong the life on the unit. ... show more

  • Great ice machine. Occasionally needs some tinkering
Size: 100 lbs/24 h/Non-Crescent Ice
It’s lasted longer than I expected! Bought this ice machine July 2024 and I figured I’d “break even” if it lasted a year. It’s March 2026 and this thing is still working well. That’s approximately 20 months. CONS- You’ve gotta “fiddle” with it. It’ll show a malfunction code and stop making ice. I usually unplug it for 30 minutes and will start making ice again after it resets. Gotta clean it every 2-4 weeks. These machines get nasty and moldy pretty quickly. I’ll spray the insides down with vinegar and then hose it out. I should probably clean it more often. Air compressor or fan varies in speed during the day. It sounds like the ice machine is about to self destruct, but it keeps on working fine! Overall it’s a good ice machine for the price. I use it daily for filling my work cooler. You’ve gotta pay attention to it and the error codes (E2 I think). I have to unplug it and let it reset every 10-14 days or so…then it works fine again. It’s worked well for the sub 400 dollar price I paid. Hoshizaki under counter ice machines were approximately 2200 dollars years ago when I bought this Euhomy unit for less than 400 It’s kept my work cooler filled with ice for nearly 20 months. I expect it to to die any day now, but overall I’m pretty satisfied with this ice machine. ... show more
