This works especially great in my home countertop ice maker. I get twice as many uses out of a single bottle as the label calls for commercial machines. And it makes cleaning the machine so much easier. Just run a dose through the machine, dump out the extra, rinse a run or two with fresh water. Dump and add clean fresh water and it's good to go. No scrubbing required. Totally worth every penny and highly recommended. It doesn't leave any lingering smells, in fact it removes unwanted odors causes from scum buildup. Which it removes too, like it was never their. The ice taste so much better after using this. I hadn't noticed until i actually used this then tried my ice. Then it was completely noticeable. Highly recommended.

This descaler does seem to work, even though I didn’t even realize it was something I needed! The citric acid formulation is nice (no harsh fumes), and after running a cleaning cycle my ice tastes much fresher. It’s not perfect — I had to run a second rinse to remove every trace of residue — but overall a solid choice for keeping commercial ice machines in top shape.

I have two nugget ice machines that require frequent cleaning. This commercial Ice Maker Cleaner is Citric acid. A couple of ounces with some warm water is all it takes to circulate through the machines on the cleaning cycle. It works very well in removing scum, slime, and scale. It doesn't have an odor like vinegar (acetic acid) and I think is works just as well. It is a good value for the price. Be sure to rinse the ice maker 3 or 4 cycles with fresh water. after cleaning. But since it is Citric acid, there is no danger if you don't get 100% flushed out. Easy to use and the results are plenty of fresh clean tasting ice.
