Eufy's 2K Video Doorbell is amazing and the install was easy. The video itself is crystal clear, the doorbell itself is beautifully designed and looks premium, the night vision is impressive, and the Eufy App is user friendly. More importantly, I love how this camera comes with free built in storage (unlike the video cameras from other different brands, which force you to pay for cloud storage). All things considered, the deciding factor on me choosing this video doorbell over others, was how friendly and responsive the Eufy team are. While a lot of other brands may not care much about you once they've made a sale, what's great about Eufy's tech team is that they genuinely care about their customers and go above and beyond to show it. ... show more

I kept knocking my first-gen Eufy video doorball off (held onto my front door by velcro, but not enough velcro, lol) my front door and like the 10th or so time I did it (onto concrete ground every time), it finally broke. Can't blame Eufy for that, I should have used more of the velcro strips than I did. So, I ordered this new version, and man, I love it. Battery life is stellar (77% remaining from first charge to full and start of use, 22 used days, 1,010 detected events, 834 recorded and saved events; I live in an apartment) and the visual quality is pretty dang good. I have power set to balance surveillance and I do have the ambient light feature on so I get color recording all night, I haven't optimized settings for power use. Very timely notifications in the app consistently, unlike that other Amazon-owned competing brand. The storage on the 16GB micro SD card it comes with is encrypted, which is great from a security perspective, but it's slow (several seconds) to decrypt it to watch the footage every time. It's way faster if you're storing footage on a Eufy HomeBase, which I am; so I recommend getting one if you don't already have one for primarily that reason. App features work well and there are plenty of options. Drawing your own motion zone works very well to help reduce false positives, though this is much more important for apartment/condo dwellers than in individual house scenarios. The package detection works VERY well, it's at 8 out of 9 packages delivered with successful detection (of being a package specifically), and the only one it didn't wasn't its fault, it was a big box of my new Christmas tree and the delivery was to the side of the door due to its size. You can also use the familiar faces facial recognition feature to teach it specific people, lol; get alerted when specific people you know knock on the door, rather than just the general alert and seeing who it is visually. :) 5/5, I strongly recommend this Eufy video doorbell. ... show more

Hardwired. Easy! No concern about battery. No subscription needed Internal memory of past events. Registers package drop off well Provides good visibility. Id expect it to be better than most Doorbell chime connected to existed without issue Doorbell chime also rings phone which is good Audio communication is not great but none of them are and we don't use it except to joke with people. ... show more

Overall, a good doorbell that’s a few software updates away from great. Pro: very clear video, and the dual cameras let you see stuff on the porch near the door. The color night vision works fair, and there’s infrared too if you prefer. When paired with the homebase 3, you get pretty good face recognition. Con: most of these complaints should be fixable with software updates… The package detection feature gives way too many false alerts. The vehicle detection works well, but there’s no way to turn off alerting your phone every time. It would be nice to record them without being alerted. The person detection doesn’t seem to like dark skin - it detects as a person, but won’t offer to add the face to known faces. This happened with two different faces. Setting the motion detection activity zone is hit or miss - it may or may not honor your settings ... show more

Alright, had a older doorbell eufy camera and an additional camera pointing at front entrance area, I could always tell when delivery came by and left, but could never see the packages once dropped, and on rainy days my heart would skip a few times and I would be anxious while away at work. This item was released not even a year ago and I really wanted it, but could not just buy at full price. A few months went by and I started not being smart about my options and considered buying whole new camera kits for several hundred dollars. Then Prime days came along and algorithm pop up with this doorbell camera for just a $30 over what I paid for my older doorbell, so I got my upgrade without spending a fortune. My older camera will go to my sister in law, she has been curious about doorbell cameras but she is not too much into technology gadgets. This camera works well, I got lucky this one has the led lights so you have a slightly brighter screenshot on notification. I charged battery before installing, but it was not necessary for my case since it was wired into house chime. Since this was a upgrade, installation of hardware was just easy, just had to replace the base plates since older one was smaller. Quality of video is good and detection is good, even if it claims every car during certain time of the day is an person walking by, lol, even the old one did that, may have to do with AI tracking at peak hours of day. Only times I get delayed notifications is when I'm away in remote areas with poor signal, and when I forget to do a wifi reset at home past 3 weeks. Happy with my purchase at this time. ... show more
