Good value for the money easy to mount and install . Very durable. Good clear field of view in 4K clearness. No worry about batteries because it’s solar powered.. The night vision is very clear also. I like how it has a homebase so I don’t have to pay monthly payments. Only negative is that when it tracks somebody it kind of skips a little, but not a big deal.

We are both in our 70's and wanted a new security system without a monthly fee. My husband found this system at Amazon on sale, understanding that his knowledge of a smartphone is limited. (We both have Tracfones!) We bought the system, and we very quickly worked together to get the system up and running. He put the 4 cameras around the house and we both agreed that it was smart, took beautiful videos and we loved it. But, we had to use our cell phones to access it. I was at the gym one day and I actually received a notification of the neighbor’s pet in our yard! HOWEVER, my husband is not a fan of the smart phone, so we purchased the Eufy E10 monitor. That's when things got really, really tricky. When we received the monitor, it was a very easy set up, it immediately "talked" to the Homebase 3, and was not hard to get it running properly, and doing what we wanted, or so we thought. It took some time to understand the settings between the smart phone and the monitor. We thought we could watch all four cameras (live streaming) 24/7 on the monitor. And you can! BUT using just solar charging, we found out immediately we started to seriously deplete the batteries. My husband wanted to "watch" the front of the house 24/7 and was content to just use the other three cameras around the house on a notification basis, not live streaming 24/7, but periodically if the system detected activity. With the touchscreen monitor, it takes just a few clicks to watch any camera on full streaming. So, he then used a USB cable/cord and attached it to the camera for the front of the house and plugged it manually into an outlet. Then, we recharged the other batteries on the other three cameras which had depleted dramatically (like to 20% on a sunny day), and he reinstalled them back around the house; while they show on the monitor, we turned off the live streaming for them -- but keeping them online, and active on the monitor for instant notification if a person/pet came around the house. It took a bit to set the cameras properly, and to understand how the monitor worked in conjunction with the cameras. We now have it running exactly the way we want it. It was a bit glitchy last night with all the Canadian smoke, but the quality of monitor and the videos is phenomenal. I did reach out to tech support twice. The first time was during business hours and the associate was patient and helpful - which is how we figured out how the settings worked/and why the batteries were depleting. We still have an issue at night with a black screen out on the monitor/that fluctuates between light and dark. It is the weekend, so I'll wait for normal business hours to ask Eufy about this. We have good wifi, but like all systems, it gets a bit glitchy, but all in all, we love this system and have been impressed with the service/quality. There was no manual, and I spent a lot of time googling questions - with AI - and I was mostly able to get answers. We have NO previous experience setting up a system like this: You don't have to be a genius to set this up, but you need a bit of patience since there are so many different options/set up decisions. And, you have to know what you are looking for. Obviously, all four cameras can be charged with USB cables for 24/7 use with the monitor. Using just a smart phone, solar worked just fine, because we weren’t watching the house all day on our phones. For the price, and because we don’t have a monthly fee, this system with the 4 cameras/Homebase 3, and the E10 monitor works perfectly for us. The phenomenal color screen, with beautiful video is amazing.

Excellent, highly recommend. Was looking for a camera set up with no monthly subscription. Found Eufy, bought the 2 solo cams E42 with the home base. Yes it was pricey but it will pay for itself long term. The battery is always at 100% even living in the PNW. Yes the sensors do detect little things like the bushes moving in the wind sometimes but every camera does that. The app works well, I plan to buy more cameras in the future. Set up was a breeze. We use this to monitor package delivery and piece of mind when we are gone from the house, its not perfect, but its also not a professional set up, manage your expectations. I'd give it a 95/100.

This is my first Eufy camera, and I am impressed.. This is an incredible value and steal for a 120 bucks. This camera is loaded with features, high quality, cutting edge features at that, and Eufy makes it simple to understand and navigate them. It is very efficient on battery, the graphics are stunning, and there are all sorts of cool options to tweak and adjust all the different settings. I've only had it for a couple days now so I haven't gotten the chance to experience how sensitive the motion detector is. I know it does have very good night imaging, and the pan, tilt, zoom is spectacular. I literally just ordered my second one a couple hours ago, it'll be here tomorrow, hopefully everything runs smooth over the next couple months and I will update. But as of right now, in the " honeymoon period " I do I highly recommend this camera, I'm not just saying that either, this is a piece of Cutting Edge technology that is an absolute bargain for the price. UPDATE *** So a couple weeks in and I'm having serious issues with my e42, it goes completely offline every night around 2:00 or 3:00 a.m., and I cannot get access to it, and then just now (at 3PM) I can't connect to it, it was literally just online and I went to view a motion clip and it states in the eufy app that it can't connect to the camera and an error code "-3" it has full Wi-Fi reception, and the only other things I have streaming off my Wi-Fi network are my other cameras, nothing else, so no it is not my network or anything else for that matter I've already investigated. And I know it's the camera because I bought a second e42 the day after I got the first one, and my other e42 does not go offline, and I've had no issues with it at all.

This was a 6 day wait for me, it ships UPS from manufacturer, NOT 2 day Amazon delivery like Amazon lead me to believe. So, if you are not in a hurry, this is the item for you. I love it, works well, easy setup. clear pictures. Well made, AI detects who's who, very adjustable cameras. I upgraded the HomeBase with a Vansuny 512gb SSD hard drive, that was easy to install too. The App is free and I didn't have too much trouble navigating it. A+

If you are looking for a simple, entry-level starter camera, the Eufy SoloCam might do the trick. But after putting it through its paces, I’m packaging mine back up and sending it back. It has some serious quirks that just didn't work for my setup. Here is my honest breakdown of why this one is a skip for me. 1. The Battery Glitch Right out of the gate, I hit a wall with the battery. A solar-powered camera is supposed to give you peace of mind, but mine refused to charge past 56%. Getting stuck halfway to a full charge is incredibly frustrating when you're relying on it for 24/7 security. 2. Laggy Connection & Weak HomeBase Signal The HomeBase Wi-Fi connection is problematic at best. Even in relatively open spaces, the signal penetration is surprisingly weak. My feed was constantly laggy. To try and fix these blind spots, I even switched the operation mode directly to Wi-Fi, but the performance just didn't improve. If you have thick walls or a larger property, prepare for some connectivity headaches. 3. Apple HomeKit Ruins the Best Features If you are buying this specifically for Apple HomeKit or HomeKit Secure Video (HKSV) integration, be warned: it comes with massive trade-offs. First, it absolutely tanks the battery life. Second, HomeKit forces you to lose the Pan and Tilt functionality completely. It essentially turns a smart, moving camera into a rigid, old-school bullet camera. Defeats the whole purpose, right? 4. "Mid" Low-Light Performance When the sun goes down, the camera quality drops. The low-light performance is mediocre at best. It’ll show you something, but don't expect the crisp, high-end night vision you might want for catching crucial details. The Verdict It's a decent starter kit if you have a small space, perfect line-of-sight to your router, and don't care about Apple HomeKit. But for me? The battery bugs, lagging video, and stripped features mean it’s going right back to the store.
