I went from the Blink Xt2 camera system to the Solocam E42. It was like trading in a Nissan Versa for a Lamborghini! The E42 was extremely easy to install. Mounting the cameras to the camera bracket was very easy. Solar panel installation was also easy. Make sure you read the directions and set up the cameras before you install them. Figuring out if you are going to run the cameras through the homebase or use the MicroSD on each camera can be tricky at first. If you decide to use the microSD, the cameras will not work until the microSD is installed. The video is amazing quality! The AI feature is very helpful to follow activity and to train the cameras to identify people. You can even program family members so that when the camera picks up a family member it will identify who it is. The cameras are very good quality and have lots of great features. Some people have complained about the app, but I haven't had any problems with it. If your cameras are going to be located far away from the wi-fi, make sure wi-fi extenders are set up to ensure the cameras receive a strong signal.

Having been using for several months now. Have found cameras to be of great quality and configurability using the Eufy app. There have been several device and app updates since initial install, so they are constantly improving and responding to user feedback. Haven't used the AI/recognition feature yet, just leaving on the generic human/vehicle detection, which has been working reliably. Streaming and video quality are configurable from 720p to 4k, nice wide field of vision. Light level at night is very adequate to see stream clearly. Support for 2-way audio via camera speakers. Solar power is reliable with cameras at constant 100% battery as long as placed in location with access to sunlight. Recommend this product as a high quality camera solution at a reasonable price point. ** Make sure to set up HomeBase prior to adding additional storage. After unboxing HomeBase I added an internal SSD for additional storage and had issues during HomeBase setup. Removing the drive, completing the setup, then re-adding the drive later worked fine.

Overall the cameras are very good quality. Seem to be very durable & solar panels can either be mounted separately or on camera itself depending on sun exposure. The battery life seems to be good so far & charges very quickly. The price is good for what comes with the kit (4 solar cameras & homebase) however, I would think the connectivity would be a lot better, given the cost. There are times the camera works great with no issues but the majority of the time it has issues connecting to the camera & is delayed even though WiFi connection is strong. **Eufy customer support is by far the best I’ve ever experienced in my lifetime. They contacted me when they did not have to & went above & beyond to try to come to a resolution for the problems mentioned in my review.

Easy to mount and put together, but it was a struggle to work thru the setup and app usage. I wish it had zoom, but day and night picture quality is decent. I need to do more testing as it misses cars pulling into drive, yet gets people if they get out.

After having a poor experience with my last security cameras with a different company, my Eufy cameras have worked great so far! I've purposely waited a few months since buying to see how it would respond with it working really good for the value of the cameras. Super easy to mount, and it connects fairly well to my wifi. Solar panels work great despite not having constant sun beaming down. Only con I'm noticing is that it doesn't pick up people until they get a bit too close but I can handle that rather than getting a bunch of unnecessary notifications.

I gave it 5 stars because of the excellent performance in motion detection, human recognition, and object tracking. It does everything I want from a security camera very well. I do have some criticisms however. The user manual is bare bones, which would be ok except the online documentation isn't always accurate or as descriptive as you might expect. For instance, the instructions for setting modes and making a schedule are wrong. The function is found under the "Smart" tab at the bottom of the Home screen, which I discovered after much trial and error. The app doesn't perform as well on my Android phone as it does on my wife's iPhone. For example, when I go to the events tab, many times it says "no events recorded" (this is particularly annoying when I have received an event notification) but when I refresh the tab, they show up usually after a long time lag. On the iPhone, the list loads with practically no time lag without the need to refresh the tab. I have this same issue with my Eufy C30 doorbell.
