After six months of using this surveillance system, I can confidently share my experience, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. My initial motivation for an upgrade stemmed from the outdated, cumbersome head end of my old hardwired camera system under the front porch. The struggle was real, especially with the lack of support for newer Windows OS. My expectations for the porch camera were initially low due to its lack of direct sunlight. To my surprise, the built-in solar panel proved to be a game-changer, keeping the camera consistently charged with ambient sunlight. Despite the limited sunlight, it only triggers 1 to 2 alerts a week, showcasing impressive efficiency. Contrastingly, the garage camera, basking in direct sunlight, handles 10 to 20 alerts daily. Even as fall reduces daylight, it maintains a solid 70% charge. Considering my home's 12-inch thick insulated concrete walls, the impeccable signal strength from the home unit inside the kitchen pantry is noteworthy. The garage camera, facing 2 interior walls, 1 exterior wall, and the garage door, experiences no signal issues. The AI recognition feature is commendable, excelling at detecting individuals from various angles, not just head-on views. Night vision performs well, falling between good and spectacular, with room for improvement in IR light coverage. While the camera's IR lights are effective within a close range, additional IR repeaters can enhance night vision for broader coverage. The daytime picture quality is truly spectacular, and the well-crafted app enhances the overall user experience. Setup is a breeze, and the app's speed, even on mobile networks, is praiseworthy. Motion detection sensitivity can be adjusted, a handy feature for my garage camera dealing with wind-induced false alerts. The ability to draw a detection zone is a great feature, although adjusting points on the phone's outer edges can be cumbersome. A PC interaction option would be beneficial for certain tasks, as some actions are more convenient with a mouse. A notable feature request would be a scheduler to define "do not disturb" periods, especially during high-traffic times when unnecessary alerts are a hindrance. Lastly, the camera mounts require a firm tightening to prevent movement over time. Despite this, I highly recommend this system and plan on purchasing more units. ... show more

I've been looking for security cameras for a while now and it's been a great buying experience so far! The highest resolution 4K first appealed to me, and then I found out that it was a 100% wire-free camera, which was critical. Wiring and installation was difficult for me to operate. It's also powered by solar power, which is amazing! I was able to install it without recharging it, but that's something we'll see in the future. Setup is simple and fast, the camera and HomeBase design are very textured, love the quality of the feel. The 4K image quality didn't disappoint me, it was very sharp. I've been using the camera for a few days and the solar panels have had a noticeable effect. The battery is consistently at 100%, which is impressive. The camera system also has a lot of features, but the only problem it has so far is that sometimes the AI detection is a bit problematic, but eufy says it's self-learning and should get better in the future. I have this set for about 8 months now. The video is clear and it's easy to install (suggest to watch some installation videos on Youtube and read through the instruction in details in advance). I traveled out-of-state and aboard and never felt so relief that I am able to see what's happening around my house anytime I want. The night vision is very clear and I can turn on the light built in on the cameras is a plus. I have both cameras outside the house monitoring two side-doors which usually don't have much traffic unless someone has a reason to come close to those areas. The sensor is sensitive enough to trigger alerts for the pre-set activity zone(s). If you put it in front on a busy traffic area, you will receive lots of alerts to your phone and you can change the setting to reduce that sensitivity. Also, both cameras are within 25-ft from the S330 base and the Eufy base is directly connected to my internet router. I also has ATT fiber so I have to say my internet signal feeding to the Eufy system is rather strong. I am satisfy with these cameras and the system so far. It's been 8 months since I purchased the cameras set (S330 with 2-cam kit), the battery for both cameras are still showing full (note - both cameras able to receive sunlight 3 to 4 hours daily). Will monitor and update the review after twelve months. I noted other users have issue with drained battery and not able to re-charge after twelve-month usage. I am monitor this issue and hope it is not a widespread issue. I will recommend this to my friends and family. ... show more

I have these cameras for about a week now. I must say they are very clear,much better quality than the blink. I like that app recovers from looking an alert and moving to a live view.. the blink is not good at that which led me to seek another system. You would get an alert and the live view would take a long time to load the people would be gone, the eufy does a great job at that. Now motion sensor does seem to work the way I like them to work. I added a picture of the booklet that says it will sense motion until you are in a certain area, i wish this could change. I know it would give a lot a false things but would be nice to see if you had an intruder or guest before they were that close to you house. I added a short video yo show how clear the cameras are, it did not pick that motion up i had to record manually. The blink picked it up. The sound and talking is okay, works fine i can hear conversations from a good distance honestly. I really like system it was an easy setup, charging is going well with the solar which is awesome and i only get a few hours of sun and its working, just the motion is not where i would like it. (I mean if an alien ship were to fly by i would like to have captured it 😁) ... show more

    • Dead on Arrival – Awful – Steer Clear of this product

It’s been almost a month since I purchased this doomed Eufy security set. How much is the time that you spend on the phone with Eufy support worth to you? So far, I wasted over 1.5 painful hours. The S330 security kit that I purchased from EufyHome store on Amazon has a homebase S380 and 2 solar-charging cameras. Setup seems easy, but the homebase was never able to connect to my wi-fi gateway. I tried multiple Ethernet ports and the wi-fi connection as well. On the installation day, even though the homebase displayed a solid red light at its front (this is the indicator of a failed connection to the network: the light should not be red but something like white… – I learned that from Googling and not from the installation guide…) it seemed to be connecting to the internet on and off like every 1 minute and for 1 minute and then it would go offline and so on. I tried different ports on the wi-fi gateway, swapped Ethernet cables, etc., just to rule out something silly. I never got it working correctly – it never connected to my network. BTW, my network and wi-fi gateway are 100% reliable and connecting and streaming several devices for years with no issues… I spent time calling the technical support: after long-long time holding and waiting, I was advised to uninstall the home base, reset it, and then reinstall using the Eufy app. I followed those steps, and after the uninstall/reset, the homebase completely failed all attempts to reinstall. Again, spent time calling, holding, and waiting. The tech support decided that the homebase was defective and that they will process a warranty claim for me and send me a new one. The only problem was that they didn’t have any available to send out to me! They promised that new homebase will ship several days later on 7/21. It’s been a cat and mouse game since then. When I call they tell me to follow up on the original warranty email. When I email, eventually I get a response saying that they are either a little delayed or something like your replacement is schedule to ship within 24 to 48 hours and that I will receive an email when it does ship. That’s it. Today is 8/3 and I got a dead Eufy on my balance sheet. I am considering throwing this junk back into the box it came in and sending back. Why? Honestly, this whole picture is very concerning: 1) Dead on arrival! – What is the QA process for this product? DOA is unheard of in today’s standard products. What’s next? What is the life expectation for this product? 2) Long wait on the support calls – I could be doing many other things. 3) Almost a month has passed, and now I am in the email follow-up game, and no replacement – that’s just awful! 4) Worrying about the whole thing: just not worth it! I wish that I never purchased it – it’s my warning to you. ... show more

    • The wisest purchase for outdoor monitoring

I have tried other systems. Most recently I was heavily invested in Wyze. I have also used Ring. They each have some good points and bad. Neither fit my use well. Wyze is really struggling these days to deliver on the software side and their cloud has major issues. Ring would be a great solution but what happens when the only internet in your area is the once cellular company there and it goes out? This Eufy system has continued to work during outages with no issues that I have found. The AI is ok and as good as any of the others I have used. It always sees us as humans but doesn't always recognize the faces. It says that improves over time. The night vision is great but it also works very well in low light. Small landscape lights are enough for me. I have the base stations on an isolated VLAN and that does introduce a very small delay. Totally acceptable. The motion activation is better than most battery cameras. With Wyze the neighbors dog would get completely through before it started the recording. Empty scene. With these he makes it about 1/2 way. They are larger than some other and a bit unappealing to look at IMHO but given their ease usefulness I am willing to ignore that. Wyze also had a very high hardware failure rate of their outdoor cameras over a year. I just got these Eufy but they do feel much better made. Time will tell and I will update my review if they let me down. ... show more

Cams work great. Super fast and easy to set up. The camera and battery are reliable but ai can't say the same for the solar panel. Degraded and won't charge after 2 and a half years. Buy different model if u are looking for hassle free solar cam. Cameras still work fine just need to manually charge with USB cable. 2nd photo show the camera does get charge from the panel. ... show more
