  • Great features and NO subscription required.
Style: floodlightcam only
I've only had the floodlight camera E340 installed for 2 weeks. So far it seems to be very capable but some features are not as user-friendly as my old Ring system; for instance, reviewing recorded events was easier on the Ring. One of the primary reasons I picked this system was its internal storage (sometimes called local storage). After some difficulty getting the microSD card to work, it does appear to be working now. The product details on Amazon lead me to believe the unit was capable of using 6GHz wifi—that is not the case; "wifi 6 capable" does not mean 6GHz—still not sure what that means. I needed a unit that could be mounted under an eave; this system does that and is very easy to convert from wall mount to under eave. However, the mounting brack did not fit my junction box and I had to make an adaptor to install the unit. Overall, I am very happy with the cameras, lighting, notifications, and other features of the unit. ... show more

  • Excellent Eufy Security Cameras Experience
Style: floodlightcam only
We purchased two of these Eufy 4K double camera units with 2K floodlights. We have been using Moto cameras for a few years and we’re not happy with them because they missed a lot of things and sometimes didn’t work. We had a higher failure rate on the seven units we purchased then anticipated. And now they want you to buy a plan and they have constant interruptions to access your cameras with advertisements. Through research we found great reviews on Eufy security cameras. With a no cost plan and ease of set up and the fact that they will track movement and record them with the SD micro card. They sounded perfect for us. They were easy to install and they do a great job. Color including night vision is excellent. The range of motion excellent. I just installed a third one in my home yesterday. The cost is very reasonable. Plus you can get a three-year extended warranty through Amazon. A+. ... show more

  • Lights Camera Action
Style: floodlightcam only
I purchased 4 of these eufy floodlight cameras and paired them with the Home Base 3. So far I am truly impressed with the system, especially the simplicity of the installation and use of the app. These cameras are full of great features, the ones I like the most are the bright lights, pan/tilt/zoom and the dual lens. Camera technology has come a long way and this camera proves it. Having the dual lens you get the benefit of a zoomed out view to see everything and a zoomed in view to see a closeup. The AI technology for motion detection and tracking works great and does the work for you. I paired the cameras with the Home Base and so far the connection has held steady with no disconnects. With good WiFi coverage around the house there are absolutely no connectivity and/or streaming issues from the app. Video streaming is quick to connect and view, and the video quality is great. I can definitely recommend these cameras with confidence. ... show more

  • Almost perfect…
Style: floodlightcam only
From a technology standpoint, this is probably one of the best floodlight cams available. It has a ton of features, including dual high resolution cameras (1 wide & 1 zoom), 24/7 local recording (either to a micro-SD card or base station), 360 degree PTZ with AI tracking, and much more. The LED floodlights are very bright, but can be dimmed and positioned to your liking. Everything works as good as can be expected from a WiFi camera at this price point. My only gripe is that it’s only available in white. Almost no one installs white light fixtures on the exterior of their home. So why does Eufy only offer this floodlight camera in white? In fact, I almost didn’t buy this camera (even at the Prime Day price) because it is only available in white. If they’d offer a few color options (black, bronze, grey, etc…) this would be much more appealing. ... show more

  • Excellent camera, just make sure to get the home base too!
Style: floodlightcam only
Wow, I am impressed so far! This video of the cute feline was taken while I was fast asleep, the camera itself is tracking the cat. I blacked out the areas for privacy. If you notice the cat doesn’t even hear the camera moving, it’s extremely quiet. I have watched it track me and I also do not hear anything and you can also hardly tell it’s moving unless you know about it and are staring it it!! You can also turn the AI tracking completely off and just have it on a fixed area if you want. I did get the Eufy home base S380 unit with a separate (not included) Samsung 1tb SSD (exact model in my review under the home base) that slides right into the homebase and then I also keep the home base hooked up to the router with a Cat 8 40gb 2000 MHz Ethernet cable (a short Ethernet cable is included with the homebase but I needed it longer) and then the camera itself is to WiFi via the home base and it’s working great so far. The homebase acts as storage and a WiFi extender and if hooked up to your internet router with an Ethernet cable it’s strong and can record 24 hours if you want it to! I would absolutely recommend getting the homebase with this camera. You can also just hook the homebase to your internet with WiFi but I feel it is stronger with the cable. I’m a single mom but dad taught me well. So I flipped all the circuit breakers off to cut of the electricity (couldn’t find the book listing what breaker is what) and took off a previous flood light and then easily connect the existing hardwires into the 3 easy clip in connections then easily screwed in the whole unit to the existing box. Very easy and straightforward in my opinion. You may pay slightly more upfront (like maybe $300 ) compared to the better known companies that require a monthly subscription but it is well worth it. Another company wanted around $700 for a 36 month subscription, absolutely not!! You do not need a subscription and look how great that video is! As long as you set this up so connections are strong to your internet you should be very happy with it like I am. I believe they do have subscriptions for various things like cloud storage and expert monitoring if you want that. If anything changes with how happy I am with this camera I will update this, but I’m a very happy camper at the moment! Thank you to those who put the time into making this wonderful camera set up!! ... show more

Style: floodlightcam only
I have several of these cameras and they function very well (including this one). My only issue is that they all have frequent lag time when connecting the live feed to my Homebase 3. I'm not sure why for they all show strong connections to the Homebase. As for surveillance, they they all function properly. ... show more

  • UPDATE: STILL RUNNING GOOD! READ for HomeBase 3 and issues relating to it!
Style: floodlightcam only
UPDATE: Still in 2026, still no issues, running flawlessly! If you’re having issues with Homebase 3 read below! Make sure you update both devices as well! If you have issues running homebase loading stream, just restart homebase 3 not reset! So the camera set up was pretty easy. I thought it was nice that you can actually power this with an extension cord and run power to the camera. Camera is pretty responsive and the notifications are MUCH quicker than my other cameras. I actually have the other 360 camera from eufy installed previously and I like this one a lot better. My only wish is being able to change the color temperature of the lights, no big deal, but I wish it was a bit more warmer temperature. No issues installing it with a standard round junction box, they have many cut outs so any angle is not a problem. Now keep reading if you are having issues about home base 3. I bought this camera for being able to record24/7 and for it being compatible with home base 3 since it can store up to 14tb of video on the device which is amazing. I bought an external ssd for the home base 3 and installed it. I also put an internal sd card inside the camera. Now setting up home base 3 after installing the camera was a breeze. You have to make sure you update both the home base and the camera in order to have them connected. It worked pretty well for a day or two with the camera. All of a sudden I had so many issues! No notifications, no 24/7 recording working, issues streaming. I was about to give up and actually return the home base 3 and let the camera run on its own without the home base. I really liked the home base because running it would also act like an extender for your devices connected to it. I went to reset the device and then from the initial set up, I actually set it up with home base 3 to see if that made a difference. It did! I added the home base 3 after installing the camera. My advice is for people having issues, just reset it and run it with home base from the beginning. If you bought the home base 3 and this camera, set up the home base 3 FIRST! Then add the camera and it will give you two options, connect using internet or home base 3. From that initial screen you must click home base 3. Yes you can change it later but you’ll run into issues like I have with no notifications or 24/7 stop recording and not working saying no video. Now with the homebase 3 this camera works flawlessly! I’ll update you guys if there any other issues but so far now it works really well, probably the best outdoor camera eufy has to offer! Especially with the clarity. I hope eufy makes other 24/7 recording devices. It’s such a game changer! ... show more

  • Pretty good but could have easily been perfect, without adding cost
Style: floodlightcam only
**UPDATE** I had a warranty claim pretty quickly. Not sure what happened, but I ended up with 1 dead camera out of 2. To my surprise, they seem to have addressed my major gripes about the S hook and the wire terminals. This looks way better (pic attached)! There is now a nylon loop to hold the camera up while you do the wiring. the wires have reusable Wago-style connectors, which ought work very nicely, especially negating the need for a screwdriver to connect wires now. Very good. ______________________________________________________________________________ Original Review: Cameras work great. Video is excellent, AI tracking is good, automations are good. I love the 3x zoom camera in addition to the wide angle. No need for a cloud subscription is a huge plus, like everyone else is saying. Overall, I'm happy, even though one of 2 has died within 2 weeks of installing it and now I have to figure out what the RMA is like. For the $, I'm glad I got these, because for even more money, 24/7 recording is a must have. I don't think there is anything on the market that has everything this has with none of the downsides until you get to $1000+ cameras. Gripes: No Matter, this is a huge deal, but I'll consider these an interim solution and one day they'll get replaced with Matter-enabled cameras when they come out. No video in Google Home. Only floodlight control. Floodlight color temp is not adjustable. I want warm white light. The color temp isn't too blue, however, so I can live with it. Does not tilt up high enough. My front yard has a very slight uphill grade. These cameras weren't designed with any up tilt. As a result, the 3x camera can't even reach the horizon. Not an issue with the wide camera. This is an an easy oversight and would have been an easy thing to avoid, just design the tilt limit to go above horizontal 10 degrees or so. My biggest issues are with installation... 2 screws that secure the camera to its base, the last thing you do for physical installation, are on the sides. Depending on what you have near the camera, it could be difficult or impossible to get at those screws. In my case it meant an angled screwdriver. It would have just been better if they put the screws in the bottom/front face instead of the sides. The big silly S-hook to hold the camera up while you make the wire connections is dumb. High-end CCTV cameras use a cable lanyard that stays on the camera and tucks away when you button up the camera. This thing has to be kept somewhere handy if you ever need to bring the camera down. The worst thing about install is the wire connector/terminal block... 1. the screws that pinch the wires are WAY TOO SMALL. I don't feel good about how secure the wires are in there with such tiny screws 2. you can't fit a normal philips screwdriver in the plastic wire terminal housing, got to find a micro screwdriver. I think the screws would fit a #1 philips bit, but it's too deep and the plastic around it is too small diameter to fit a #1. Also since they're so small, the good luck not stripping out the philips head on the screw with the undersized screwdriver you have to use. 3. once you have the wires tightened into the terminal block, you're supposed to press it into it's place in the camera base, but it's just a friction fit. You end up fighting it into place, and it pops out of place easily because the copper wires are stiff and trying to pop it out all the time. The whole wire terminal block they used is total garbage and they need to do better. This is the single worst thing about this camera... if they last more than a couple years, that is. ... show more
