A proper review of this system would be quite lengthy and necessarily detailed. This is not that. Call it a brief overview. My Goal was to get high definition 24/7 surveillance and recording with notifications and at least 30 days local storage on 6 cameras. I purchased the E330 4-camera kit (plug-in) with Homebase 3 along with two additional E330 cameras and a 4TB SSD hard drive to replace the included 1TB drive. Setup was problem free, activating/pairing and installing cameras was straight forward, replacing drive and formatting new drive was easy, and everything worked. I was shocked to see such high quality video. The features and abilities included in the system are outstanding. I’ve been able to do any task I’ve wanted to do and other tasks I didn’t even know I wanted to do, albeit a bit frustrating figuring it out. The Beta AI is also fun to play with. I will say that you’ll be spending quite a bit of time learning the app. Perfection is elusive, but I will say that most the features work pretty well after you figure out how to setup and implement them. I am able to store 67 days of HD video from all 6 cameras (24/7 recording) - and it’s stored locally and easy to access. No paying for cloud storage or the other access issues, and the system self deletes oldest days as the drive fills up. The cameras themselves are physically larger than the ones on my last system(s). They also have a blue light in the lens that is clearly visible from a distance at night. I’m not sure if this is good (deterrent) or bad (invite to destroy-steal) but I don’t anticipate any problems where mine are mounted. Overall, I think this system is an exceptional value for the money! I hope this system proves to be as reliable as my old ones were. Of course, I’ll edit this post if anything goes south, but for now, this system is a solid 5 based on both value and function (notwithstanding the elusiveness of perfection), and I would definitely buy again. ... show more

    • Easy to install and great 4K picture

I paid $429.00 for this system. I had been watching it and when the price dropped I grabbed it. Installation is a breeze. What you will need to make installation easier is a Ethernet splitter. You can plug in Ethernet cables from the system server, the router and a Wi-Fi Extender. Because the cameras are powered via a 12V AC DC Adapter that plugs directly into the Outlets ( I wanted constant power and didnt want to rely on solar panel reliability) you may have to drill an access hole through the building wall to run the power cable. Once installed I filled the hole with flexible caulk. The App for Eufy is easy to install on smartphones and you can name each camera. It gives a notifying tone when a person is seen and saves the contact on the server. I highly recommend this system. I will give updates on anything negative that occurs. ... show more

I have been running these for over a year. I have had one base unit failure that would not allow me to add additional storage and one camera failed I believe because it was not factory sealed correctly and suffered from rain intrusion. That being said what brings me back is tech support. They will ask you questions and to send a video but it ends normally with a full replacement without a problem. Bonus this works with an Amazon Echo Show and most of the Eufy wireless doorbell cameras. Fully scalable I am running 9 cameras in my system. Due to the pain they are to install (being powered by Micro USB) I've only set up one of these cameras inside a front facing window on my home. It's worked well enough for months, though the night vision has to be off because the glare of the infrared blinds the camera. However, last night I walked out of my house to walk my dog and a strange lady was standing in my neighbors yard blasting a podcast and breaking branches off her tree. She was startled and quickly apologized and left. Naturally, I was a bit curious why I hadn't received an alert but I figured I'd go home and watch the clip for fun to see how long she was standing there and if she was doing anything else strange. Much to my surprise, there was no clip. So I pulled up the live feed to see the camera had the nightvision on. However, when I went to the settings, nightvision was still off. Thinking maybe it was something else I toggled nightvision on, but there was no change. I toggled nightvision off and the lights finally went out. I have no clue when this happened as I usually don't check my feeds unless I get an alert, and it's not a regular occurrence that people walk past my home when it's dark. But it's definitely frustrating knowing this may have been broken for months and I was unaware. This makes it hard to trust the reliability of these cameras too because the settings may seem completely normal, while not reflecting reality. I'm definitely searching for a replacement going forward, as the crummy power setup was almost enough to make me give them away. ... show more
