I wanted to replace an old system with a modern one that connects to the internet and sends notifications to my phone. I do not need a monoring service or direct calls to the police. I just want to know when someone enters my house or if something happens there. The old system called me on the phone when it was tripped. It was not working properly and it was outdated. This new system does everything the old one did and it notifies me throught the internet. Once I figured out how things work, it was easy to set up, but the instructions are not very good. When setting up you have to allow the device to send NOTIFICATIONS. This is how it messages your phone. Also, with respect to the water detectors, the description on Amazon says nothing about the Tolvivov water detectors linking, to the alarm system, but they do. You are also allowed to set any device to notify when you are home, away, or always, which is good with the water detectors in my basement. I want to know about leaks when I am home or away. The system links to Alexa and, besides the fobs, Alexa is a great way to control the system. The alarm is very loud, but there is a setting to silence it and just get notified by phone. This will be good when I am away and the person checking my house forgets to disarm the system. The old system would send my helper into a panic when the alarm went off. I can see that this very affordable system is going to serve me very well. I hope my added instructions will be helpful to other buyers. ... show more

I was skeptical of this product because it was cheap but we’ve had it for a few weeks now and it has worked great. It was very easy to install and easy to work. We put it on all the doors and so far it’s worked well. The alarm is very loud so you can hear it from anywhere. We also can control everything with our phone so that’s convenient. It also allows you to set timers of when for it to turn on and off so you don’t have to turn it on and off every day. So far satisfied with the product. ... show more

This seems to work very well for a small apartment. I have them on the doors and a couple windows. The instructions were a bit strange and hard to follow when getting it setup in the Smart Life app. There's some missing instructions on what exactly to select. But I figured it out. The only downside, you cannot have individual delay (entry or exit) for each sensor. There are delay settings for the entire system, but it is applied to all sensors. My wife was recently diagnosed with dementia. Last week I discovered she had opened our front door sometime after I went to bed. The door was standing wide open, she could have wondered off without my knowledge, or anyone could have entered our house. I realized I needed to have an alarm system installed asap. Professionally installed systems would be costly and require a monthly fee, so I decided to try this DIY WiFi door alarm system and so far I am extremely pleased. Although the installation instructions are a little confusing, I was able to easily set up and install alarms on all of our exterior doors. I really like that I can set the alarm to audible at night so I will be alerted if she or anyone opens a door while I’m asleep. During the day I set the alarm to mute and receive an alert to my phone and Apple Watch when any door is opened. The set I ordered came with 5 door sensors. Additional door sensors can be ordered for $10 each. I plan on ordering a couple extra sensors to place on my garage doors. ... show more

We have been having issues with our 15 yr old sneaking out so we bought this. Does exactly what it is supposed to do. It alerts us when the door/window is open. I like that you can select different modes so that you can have the doors armed but not the windows so if it is a nice spring night you can have windows open but still have the system armed. Being able to share the app with my husband is nice as well so we both know if they system is armed or not and can change the settings right then and there. ... show more
